Nolan and Ben have been best friends for close to 20 years. What started as building with Legos and airsoft wars became running cross country together in high school and fishing together over summers. Nolan and Ben were roommates for two years at Concordia College, and nowadays you can catch Nolan attempting to keep up with Ben in marathon training runs.

Greta’s younger sister and total opposite in every way, Elly is the life of the party and a true social butterfly. She’s known for her infectious energy and for accidentally spilling the beans to Greta’s parents about Greta’s “secret new boyfriend” (aka the groom!) back in 2023. Greta has truly loved every stage of growing up with Elly and can’t imagine celebrating this day without her by her side.

Ben is Greta's younger brother and is currently at Greta and Nolan's old stomping grounds at UND in the aviation program there. Ben is quite the accomplished golfer, and the first time Nolan met Ben was accompanied by a 10 yard drive off the tee by Nolan. Nolan has also learned everything he knows about sports betting thanks to Ben's teachings.

Nolan’s younger sister and the first person we called after getting engaged, Sydney has a talent for pushing Nolan’s buttons almost as well as Greta does. She’s hilarious, endlessly fun, and our shared favorite hobby is making jokes at Nolan’s expense. Some of Greta’s best memories with Sydney are from the Maine trip Sydney planned. Greta is very excited to officially be gaining another sister!

Matt is one of the first friends Nolan made in medical school, and along with his wife Gretchen (see the bridesmaid section!) is one of the main reasons why Nolan and Greta began dating, thanks to some serious behind-the-scenes work. Matt is one of the handiest people Nolan has ever met, and introduced Nolan to the pure bliss that is a perfectly mixed old-fashioned.

Greta’s very first friend in medical school and one of the kindest, most loyal people around, Gretchen is the ultimate hype woman. From themed parties to weekends at the cabin (with her husband and groomsman Matt), she brings joy wherever she goes. Plus, she secretly played matchmaker for Greta and Nolan — and clearly, she nailed it.

Henry is the first friend Nolan made in medical school, and is essentially the person most responsible for creating the initial friendship between Nolan and Greta. Henry and Nolan's friendship has withstood the test of medical school, a marathon, the extended editions of The Lord of the Rings, and the masterpiece that is Watchmen.

Greta’s college roommate of three years at Miami University, Heather is known for her upbeat, chaotic energy and her constant thirst for adventure. From rock climbing and camping trips across the country to a snowy ski trip in northern Minnesota, she’s always game for anything outdoors. She’s the friend who’ll turn any ordinary day into a story worth retelling.

Nick and Nolan met at Concordia College, where they bonded over a shared love of running, skiing, and camping. Nick is one of the kindest, most genuine people Nolan has ever had the pleasure of meeting, and you'll often catch Nick imparting parts of his infinite wisdom of everything movies and comics. Greta’s friend from college and her unofficial “little” in their climber crew, Rachel is smart, fearless, and always up for a challenge. They have bonded over engineering classes, endless rock climbing trips, and many cabin weekends in Wisconsin. Some of Greta’s favorite memories with Rachel include a downhill ski trip in northern Minnesota—and, of course, many nights spent as undefeated Euchre partners.

Nathan is Nolan's cousin and senior by about four months, and essentially since birth the two have been going on adventures together. Nathan's big sport has always been basketball, and the greatest athletic feat Nolan has ever seen will forever be Nathan's performance in the 2016 section basketball finals against Alexandria. Nolan is once again following in Nathan's footsteps, as Nathan recently got married in 2025.
