While both Nora and Owen grew up in Lawrence, they did not officially meet until college. Nora joined the drumline at KU and Owen happened to be living with other members. After countless parties and years of friendship, Nora finally made the first move... which was rejected. She was luckily able to finally get him to admit he had a secret crush on her in high school and the rest is history.

They dated for 5 years before Owen popped the question at Rim Rock, where they are so excited to be able to get married and celebrate with all of their loved ones.
