I first met Jesse sitting in a classroom before school and we happened to talk for a minute. We later became close friends after two years of passing each other in the hallways. I truly got to know Jesse through Jacob, his older brother.
Once I become close to him it was like I had known him my whole life. I was unsure how our relationship would sustain college as I was moving three hours away. During this time, Jesse constantly made a conscious effort to love and support me even while apart. From there we grew together as people and as a couple.
Jesse became my biggest supporter throughout my college career. He never once questioned or doubted my love of occupational therapy or my constant need to learn more about my career field. He pushed me to be a better student and study when I did not think possible.
I could not imagine my life without him now and I cannot wait to see what married life has instore for us!
- Nora
My first memory of Nora is my freshman year of high school. I was sitting in the back of my Latin class when a girl started arguing with our teacher that she could make friends. To prove her point she turned an shouted across the classroom "hey you we are friends now". She then promptly turned around and told the teacher she won the argument.
After that I began to get to know her more through my brother as she acted as one of his helpers in class. After a while Nora became one of my closest friends and our relationship took off from there.
She has become one of my biggest supporters as we have grown through the years. From her going to baseball games to get a nap in, to her being there for me during hard classes. She's always been there to support me and push me to be a better person. We have grown through hard times as we have been long distance for a long time in our relationship. She always makes an effort to stay connected and to enjoy the time we do have together. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with her and I cannot wait to see what married life has instore for us!
