Our Wedding

It was August, 2016....

Connor and Nora met at Chico State Cross Country camp in Lake Tahoe. Nora was enticed by the sliced watermelon he brought to the beach and his "cool" crocs. During their first team trip together to Humboldt, Connor and Nora bonded over discussions of Wes Anderson movies and their shared passions for cycles (both one and two wheeled).&nbsp;

Throughout their college running careers, they got to travel all across the country, explore new cities, and share in the highs and lows of competitive running.

Since their time in Chico, Connor and Nora moved to new cities, started trail running, pursued further education, made new friends, enjoyed countless adventures, and navigated the ups and downs of life together. The constant in their adult lives has always been each other. They make each other laugh. They are goofy together. They are eachother's voice of reason. They are so grateful to have found each other and cannot wait to get married!

Below are a variety of hospitality options, ranging from beautiful boutique hotels to some pretty sweet campsites! The wedding venue is located in Grass Valley, but you can choose to stay in either Grass Valley or Nevada City (they are about 8 min apart). If you do not see something that fits your budget or preference, Auburn is about 30 min away and has additional hotel options.   Connor and Nora will be staying at an AirBnB with friends in Nevada City!

The National Exchange Hotel is a boutique hotel in the heart of Nevada City. It was recently redone and has gorgeous rooms.

The Holbrooke Hotel is the sister hotel to the National Exchange Hotel. Located in Grass Valley, this is another beautiful boutique hotel within walking distance of downtown Grass Valley.

The Gold Miners Inn is located in Grass Valley. It is a nice option, more of a standard-style hotel (used to be a Holiday Inn).

The Best Western is located between Downtown Grass Valley and Downtown Nevada City.

The Sierra Mountain Inn is a cute boutique inn with a variety of rooms, suites, and stand-alone cottages. The suite option is nice for groups of couples or family. This is a more affordable boutique option and is just a few blocks from downtown Grass Valley. We have had family friends stay here before and they liked it!

The Outside Inn is a small Inn located within walking distance to downtown Nevada City. It is family-owned and is located in one of the most beautiful historic neighborhoods in the area.

The Inn Town Campground is a fun option for those who are looking to camp during their stay. They have bathrooms and showers on site.
