Where will your wedding be held?

Our wedding ceremony will be held at Bellingham Castle at 3pm in Co. Louth, Ireland. It is ~50 minutes outside of Dublin. Due to castle rules, guests cannot be on the grounds of the castle until 2pm. At this time, tea and coffee will be available prior to the start of the ceremony. The address is: Bellingham Castle, Castlebellingham, Co. Louth, A91 RP44, Ireland Our reception will also take place at Bellingham Castle immediately following the ceremony. A drinks reception will be held first, followed by dinner and dancing.

Will we be able to stay in the castle the night of the wedding?

While we would love to have everyone stay with us on the night of the wedding, the castle is only able to accommodate a small number of guests. There is a block of rooms available at a local hotel that also provides transportation via shuttle to and from the venue. See the travel page for more info! Any guests staying at the castle do not need to make a reservation ahead of time. We have a master list that will be provided and you will pay/provide your information to receive your room on the day of the wedding.

Is there an open bar at the wedding?

Unfortunately, no. While American weddings typically have an open bar, Irish weddings are the opposite and don’t normally offer open bar because the wedding is an all day and night affair. There will be welcome drinks provided at the cocktail hour but make sure to pack some extra Euros for the bar!

Where will day two celebrations be held?

For those of us who survive the wedding celebration, the party will continue for day two in Dublin at Brannigan's Bar at 3:30pm. The address for the bar is: 9 Cathedral St North City, Dublin D01 FH29 Ireland
