Near the end of 2022 they met at Waterway car wash in Chesterfield, Missouri. They quickly hit it off after finding out they had been going to the same church for years without running into each other! January 1st of 2023 they started dating to start off the new year. They were just kids when they met, but over the last 2 years they’ve seen each other grow into their own careers, navigate adulthood, and learn to value each others strengths and weaknesses. In July 2024, Porter finally popped the question while on vacation in Raleigh, NC. On top of Occoneechee Mountain, Porter got down on one knee to ensure the woman of his dreams was stuck being his best friend forever. As they dive into their adult lives, they look forward to buying a house and making it a home in the next few months.

We thank God for putting us in each other’s lives. We feel Jesus led us together at a perfect time, holding us off from each other for years as we were so nearby. Now through forgiveness, communication, and grace that we mimic from the Lord, we’re constantly learning and striving to be more like Jesus.
