Fairytales do come true!

Picture of Fairytales do come true!

We met the modern way: when I sent James a message on a dating website, in 2015. Hours before our first date with butterflies in my stomach, I made sure to confirm James wasn’t a serial killer. After that was confirmed and a little push out the door by my roommate, I went off to have dinner on a nice spring day. After hours of talking, we agreed to see each other again and the rest is history!

A few of our favorite memories from our nine years of love and laughter, is vacationing in Disney, St. Pete FL, Yankee games, BBQ’s with friends and purchasing our first home in Bristol, CT.

Our proposal was a bit of a fairytale with a twist. We were going to a friend’s wedding in Scotland. I was on the fence about going for months. I had every excuse in the book (finances, no one to watch our fur babies and the list goes on). Once I finally agreed to go, with some pushes from my closest friends, James knew this was his chance to pop the question. I kept telling people who said, “maybe he will pop the question in Scotland” that this wasn’t going to happen. We had been together for nine years and pigs would fly before James popped the question.

James planned and told everyone EXCEPT me. With the help of our friend Todd, he decided that Dunnottar Castle would be the perfect place to ask me to spend forever with him. How romantic right??? The only problem was to get to the castle we had to hike four miles thru the woods, streets and hills to get to the Dunnottar Castle. I was not prepared or in any shape to hike four miles, but I took it as a personal challenge and completed the hike. By the time I had gotten to the castle, the last thing I was thinking was that James was going to pop the question. While taking photos, James got down on one knee, tears in his eyes and asked me to spend forever with him… In true fashion my response was a purely joyful “Shut the F**k up!” I then followed up by saying Yes!

We are so excited to have our family and friends join us as we say I do at our wedding, on November 1, 2025.
