Our Love Story
If someone had told me I’d meet my soulmate through my sister, I probably wouldn’t have believed them. But that’s exactly how it all began.
It started with Faith—my sister and unofficial matchmaker—telling me about Samuel. She was so certain he was the kind of man I should meet. “Francisca,” she said, “he’s kind, driven, and exactly what you need.” I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first. It’s not every day someone says, “I’ve found the one for you.” But Faith was persistent, and I decided to take a chance.
The moment Samuel and I started talking, something just clicked. Our conversations flowed effortlessly, and it felt like we’d known each other for years. We laughed, shared stories, and discovered so many little things in common—it was almost too good to be true.
The first time we met in person was at my sister Praise Jah’s wedding. I remember being a little nervous, wondering if the connection we had over the phone would feel the same in real life. But the moment I saw him, all the nerves disappeared. It was as if the world quieted for a moment, and all I could see was him.
Samuel and I spent that day getting to know each other in a way that went beyond words. There was a certain peace I felt with him, a quiet assurance that I didn’t need to search any further. We both knew it—we were meant for each other.
From that day on, our love has grown into something I can only describe as God-ordained. Samuel has been my partner, my best friend, and my greatest blessing. I often thank Faith for playing matchmaker and Praise Jah for hosting the wedding that changed everything. Little did I know that when I said “yes” to meeting him, I was saying “yes” to the rest of my life.
