The lodge offers a tranquil getaway on the border of the Marakele National Park and is popular for its remote location below the majestic high cliffs that act as a breeding ground for a large colony of the endangered species of Cape Vulture.

The lodge comprises 6 en-suite bedrooms, each with its own verandah from where guests can enjoy garden views or views of the cliffs. 4 of the rooms each contain a double bed and 2 of the rooms have 2 single beds in each. There is a shared kitchen The communal lounge area is comfortably furnished and offers a relaxed atmosphere where guests can sit around the fireplace in the winter months or relax out on the verandah and enjoy the view.

The lodge is ideal for family and friend groups, strategy breakaway sessions for small groups, or just individual overnight accommodation. The lodge is also often used as a base from where day trips can be made to explore the area. It is advisable to use a high clearance vehicle (4x4) as the road conditions can be unpredictable.

For the adventurous, camping is available at the wedding venue for up to 20-30 guests. It’s a basic but beautiful setup with plenty of space for tents. There’s a communal braai pit, a swimming pool with a stunning view, and great spots for sundowners on the farm.

Ablution facilities include four toilets and two showers (separated for men and women & will be used for the wedding guests), with hot water heated via a traditional donkey boiler - fires will be made to warm water. There is a basic farm kitchen 30m away which will also be used for the wedding preparations.

There are no electricity outlets at the campsites, but limited power is available at the workshop about 30m away - bring an extension lead if needed.

There are hiking opportunities on the property, and Marakele National Park entrance is just a 5-minute drive away.
