A date that would change their lives

And it goes on and on and on….

Over two years ago, Tyler and Olivia started first talking on the Hinge App. Olivia was living with her roommate (current Matron of Honor) Christina in Fairfax, VA while working at a school in DC. Tyler was living in Sterling, VA with his roommate (current groomsman) Robert. Olivia and Tyler instantly connected over the Steelers, all things Marvel, and most importantly the love they had for their families.

It took no time at all to see that these two were made for each other. While Olivia introduced Tyler to a world of tubing down the river, trash can turkey, and spontaneous adventures. Tyler introduced Olivia to a world of WVU pride, WWE Pro Wrestling, and the art of a unique communication style for asking for another drink in the McLaughlin family, “WOO WOO!!” “I got a problem here.”

From their very first date, Tyler fell madly in love with Olivia. He knew a proposal would not be far away as they began to discuss their future together. Tyler asked for the blessing of Olivia’s hand in marriage from her parents Chuck and Andrea during Clarion’s annual Autumn Leaf Festival (ALF) October 2023. The proposal didn’t take place until a month later at one of Olivia’s favorite holidays. On Thanksgiving Day 2023 Tyler asked Olivia to go on a walk before Thanksgiving dinner. It was a cool fall day at the airbnb. Tyler got down on one knee with the ring and said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Olivia. Olivia was filled with joy with loving tears as she embraced Tyler. However, she had to remind Tyler to ask the question, “Will you marry me?”. When he did, of course she said “YES!”

Olivia and Tyler can’t wait to officially proclaim their love through ceremony and celebration!

We wish to thank each and every one of you. It takes a village to raise a child and we have both been raised by two strong amazing families and friends that have shaped us to who we are today!

We love you all and can’t wait to see you soon as we say “I DO!”
