Born May 14, 1991, Olivia was a beautiful baby, bringing joy to everyone she met. After graduating Olivia moved back to DFW in 2013 and continued to strike out on love until she met Aaron on Sunday, August 20, 2023. "Nice to see you again" was the first thing Aaron told Olivia when she saw him, which, obviously threw her off because Olivia had never met Aaron in her life. However, as the date progressed Olivia realized that they were actually apart of the same graduating class &amp; went to Junior High &amp; High School together. People ask, when did you realize that Aaron was the one? Her answer, well there isn't one moment, but a collection of moments that brought peace, calmness and joy to her life.

Her Story

After searching high, low, near and far for a good woman - Olivia popped up on Facebook. I asked her to go on a date, and surprisingly she said, " sure why not". I had recognized her from high school, but we never actually met. The first time I met her i said "nice to see you again", and oh man - I felt like a stalker for remembering her in school! I'm not sure if it was the red beard or the way I talk, but I think I charmed her.Olivia is spontaneous, beautiful, loyal and always thinks of the little things (which is good and bad!). I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Olivia after simply getting to know her and seeing how important family was to her. From laying around at the house to falling multiple times on a beach in Mexico while trying to get back to the boat, I cherish my time with her. I wouldn't want to spend my life with anyone else.

Our Story

My mom — the person who knew me before I knew myself. She embodies elegance, grace, honor, beauty, cleverness, and unwavering love. Growing up, I never realized how great a mom I truly had. Creating custom-made popcorn and bubblegum hats for Crazy Hat Day, showing up to school functions, teaching me how to do life, helping with school, catching while I practiced pitching, being there when I needed her — and even when I didn’t. Valentine’s Day baskets. I thought nothing of it until I became an adult. When I talk about my childhood, so many people have told me, “You had a really good mom,” or “…hmm, yeah, my mom never did that.” People who knew me as a kid now tell me, “I don’t think you know this, but you had a really good mom. Sabina was amazing.” And honestly, at the time, I didn’t know it. My mom never boasted, and I know for a fact that she never got the recognition she earned and deserved. I am who I am today because of my mom. I love you, Mom.

Sabina Bishop - Mother of the Bride

“I mean, I would throw you in the air as high as I physically could,” is what my dad says when he talks about throwing me up in the air at my grandparents’ house. “…higher than the roof of your Granddaddy and Grandmother’s house.” Most people would think that my memories with my dad deal with softball, and that’s true — but there are so many more. From crying to my dad in the garage because I couldn’t remember my spelling words and saying, “It’s not fair that I don’t have a photographic memory,” to calling him to see if it was a good idea to go to Mexico, or calling him when I got broken up with. My dad is my dad, and there is only one man I would ever want to walk me down the aisle. I love you, Dad.

Rodney Bishop - Father of the Bride

Amber, a criminal psychology major, has been my sister for 30 years. Before she was born, I remember wanting to name her Littlefoot from The Land Before Time — needless to say, she was not named that. Amber is not opposed to flipping someone off a porch. Some of the best memories I have with Amber are from when we lived together. I know this is cliché, but she has helped me more times than she is even aware of, and for that, I am truly indebted to her. She has a compassion and protectiveness for her family that is unmatched. I love her, and I would — and have — picked her to stand right next to me time and time again, no matter the occasion. She’s beautiful inside and out.P.S. Amber saved the engagement photo shoot. Everything I was wearing came from her closet.

Celi is an avid reader, a history nerd, and has a thirst for learning and a deep love for family. I met Celi while teaching, when Frankie put my classroom next to hers. From chaperoning school dances, impromptu trips to Winstar, queso incidents, QT runs, birthday parties, anniversaries, trainings, parking lot incidents, nail appointments, holidays, and at times straight foolery — Celi has been there. She’s been there through the rough and tough times, as well as the joyous ones, but I guess that’s what family is for. It’s gang gang for life.

Where do I begin? Well, Shalisa and I met while we were both going to school at LSU–Shreveport in either 2011 or 2012. I have zero idea how this friendship cultivated; however, it has lasted over a decade! Shalisa has a vivacious personality and is always true to herself. I am so grateful that she has chosen to stand by my side on this day and for her friendship throughout the years.

Let’s see, I met Bethany shortly after graduating college and moving back to Arlington. Bethany has a vast knowledge of anything related to reading or books. We have had adventures together ranging from celebrating my sister’s birthday by “Wigging Out” to going over and having game night. I’m so very excited to have her stand by my side.

Frankie is magical — not my words, but so fitting. There when you need her and even when you don’t! A wealth of knowledge ranging from mechanics, showing cows, makeup, cooking, hunting, cruising, fashion, demoing, DIYing — and I’m sure I’ve left off things. Frankie has the “get it done” mentality. She is the friend I didn’t know I needed or wanted. It’s been a blessing having her in my life. P.S. Frankie is the reason I was able to send out the wedding invitations on Valentine’s Day.

Senia is a freckle-faced whirlwind of joy! She brings poise and grace to everything she does. Watching Senia grow from a frizzy-haired ball player to a beautiful, athletic scholar has been a blessing. I am so excited that she gets to share this moment with me, considering I have been a part of so many of hers!

Hope is an avid bowler. She spends most of her time working with kids who have autism. Hope and I first met at a softball all-nighter tournament, and from there we just never stopped talking. From nail appointments, softball tournaments, parking lot incidents, and random nights out — if I’m down, then Hope is down. I couldn’t ask for anyone better to stand by my side.

Josh Chaves Junior has been making it snow in my classroom since before he was in school. JJ is an avid band player and has a deep connection with the Lord. He is kind, respectful, responsible, hardworking, and his comeback game is strong. I am so pleased to have him take on the responsibility of an usher.

This is my mom, Veronica Arias Unsell. She was raised believing that her real mom was African American—her brothers made her believe this. She was the youngest of three, with two older brothers, George Jr. and Jerry Arias. I think this helped her raise boys. When we would get hurt, she would get mad because of the hospital bill. Needless to say, she’s known me my whole life! No one has helped me more through life than her. From cheering me on to telling me I need to straighten up, she’s been there for me through thick and thin. She’s been a great mother, and now a wonderful grandmother. We love you!

Veronica Unsell - Mother of the Groom

To everyone, this is Jason Alexander Gillespie. But to the people he matters most to, he is Uncle JuJu, JC, or Jas.No one could ask for a better Best Man — and an even better brother. You can usually find him in his natural habitat, chowing down on some wings at No Frills Grill, watching UT play, or looking for his Bridgestone balls in the tall grass or woods at your local golf course.I recently told Jason that I quit viewing him as a little brother — not in the sense of age, but in the sense of the mutual respect we have for each other. If I needed anything, he would be right there. We've had some great times together — from the “old” days skating around Arlington, to taking him to his first bar with my old ID, to him beating me in golf, talking on the phone from 8:00 AM to lunch every single day when I was truck driving and he was working remotely, and even the times we don’t remember. He is definitely a one-in-a-billion person who holds true to his values, family, and friends. I am lucky to be the guy who gets to say he’s my brother.

My sweet Adalyn is the oldest of my two daughters. She is 11 years old and will probably be taller than me in another year or two. She loves to draw, read, and play. I truly believe she will be a nuclear engineer or some sort of mad scientist one day.

Alyse is the youngest of my two children. She’s an early bird and loves anything with Hello Kitty or Cinnamoroll. Alyse is a ball of energy until about 8:00 PM — then she’s a ball of sleep. I can’t really put my finger on what she will be when she’s older, but if I had to guess, either a lawyer or a teacher. She can have fun doing anything and has a great imagination. If she sees an empty box, she asks if she can have it. Next thing you know, she’s turned it into a car or a fort.

Alyse Gillespie - Flower Girl

Garrett is solid. You can’t buy friends like him. He’s the type of friend you could never out-friend, if there were a competition. The first time I met Garrett was at O’Reilly Auto Parts. Garrett, Eric, and I ended up hanging out one weekend, and the rest was history. We spent that year partying at my house way too much, enjoying life, and even getting matching tattoos! He’s the guy who would give the shirt off his back for someone. There’s a very limited number of people in this world who will come over to hang out, do manual labor, almost die of heat exhaustion, and ask for nothing in return besides a pizza party — that’s Garrett.I’m proud that Garrett is going to be one of my groomsmen, and I’m proud that he’s one of my best friends.

Derek and I met a little after I met Garrett and Eric. We were roommates in Dallas when we were both bachelors. That was a memorable, crazy time in both of our lives.

Austin Bates and I met while working in Oklahoma. We spent more time together than most married couples. He definitely saved my life a couple of times, and I accidentally almost killed him one good time. Thank God for hard hats! We’ve had some awesome days together — and probably some days so miserable you’d have to be there to believe it. He’s one of the sharpest dudes I know, with a head as thick as a bank vault.I’m glad I had the chance to meet him and that he’s one of my best men.

Austin Bates-Groomsman

Dalton Christopher — or “Dolphin,” if you ask the right people. Imagine Sean Connery and Don Frye had a baby — you’d get Dalton. The first time Austin and I met Dalton was at 5:30 AM on some random day in Oklahoma. Needless to say, it was early in the morning, and we didn’t like him. And like all good friendships begin, you try to make him work so hard he quits. Well, he didn’t quit, and it seemed like he was getting stronger by the day — LOL. He can sell reading glasses to a blind man and will do math problems in his head faster than you can type them into a calculator. Dalton is a great friend and father, and I’m proud to have him as one of my best men.

Eric MY BROTHA Linares. We knew each other from school, both partaking in the finer courses the educational system had to offer - ESL and Special English. We never really hung out until we both worked at O'Reilly auto parts. The first time I invited him over, his wife (girlfriend at the time) wasn't too happy. Kelli knew me as the mischievous kid I was prior. After a few alcoholic beverages and a lot of weekend parties we ended up becoming closer than two mice in a wool sock. For years we worked together at different companies, always looking to figure out something better that would ultimately make us happy. I think I learned the most from Eric, he's always been very motivated to do things right. From fixing vehicles to life in general, he understands that you might as well put in the effort and do it right the first time. We have both seen each other grow from the ups to the downs, to the uncertain times, from births to birthdays and everything in between that neither of us can remember anymore - I think all the diesel fumes and brake cleaner finally ate its way through our brains. I am proud to have Eric as one of my Groomsmen on the day of my wedding.

Eric Linares-Groomsman

Where do I start? When do I start? Luke is my oldest friend. Many of my childhood memories were either at Luke’s house or at my house with Luke. We would spend all night biking around town, figuring out what we could get into for the night. We were what you’d call little mischievous kids. I remember cutting my foot in half, multiple broken bones, nose bleeds and questionable concussions - all with Luke by my side. But there was peace most of all, from eating all of Patricia's homemade Rice Krispy treats, sleeping with all the windows open at his old house off Sublett, hanging out spending all night skating or biking outside in the driveways, and watching Shailey and Luke walk down the aisle at their own wedding - they were perfect memories. Luke is himself above all, I think Atlas would have a hard time balancing him, but he is the best friend anyone could ask for. We've known each other for 20+ years, and I’m honored to have him as one of my Groomsmen.
