Our Wedding

As many love stories today begin, Scott reached out to Olivia on Instagram in the Fall of 2019. Olivia was living and finishing up nursing school in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She had just accepted a job in Atlanta, at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in the emergency department and would be moving back down south in the coming months. Scott and Olivia spent the next few months FaceTiming every day and talking for hours--discovering a lot of commonalities in their upbringing and interests: roots in South GA, graduates of both Deerfield Windsor and the University of Georgia, the youngest child in both of their families, a love for travel, gamedays in Athens, and the mountains. Olivia first officially met Scott in person mid-December 2019. Realizing they had a lot of interests in common and truly enjoyed each other's company, Scott and Olivia started dating officially on December 30, 2019. Starting a relationship off long-distance was not what either of them had in mind, but they knew it would only be a short time as Olivia moved to Atlanta in late February of 2020.&nbsp;A few weeks into March of 2020, the world shut down. Scott and Olivia had a lot of at-home and outdoor date nights in the coming months- cooking together, playing boardgames, trail walks with Oxley, strawberry picking, pool and lake days, and golfing to name a few. Scott invited Olivia to Highlands, North Carolina for the 4th of July that summer--days of hiking, kayaking, chasing waterfalls, and exploring was just what the doctor ordered. Highlands officially became “our happy place.”2021 was a year of travel for Olivia and Scott- Colorado, St. Simons, numerous Florida beaches, Highlands, and Athens to name a few.&nbsp;&nbsp;Aside from travel, Olivia began her MSN program in acute care pediatrics at UAB, and Scott was in the middle of his MBA program at UGA.&nbsp;In the spring of 2022, Scott and Olivia decided to move in together. Insert house projects galore- making our house the cozy cottage it is today. Scott graduated with his MBA in the fall of 2022 making him a double dawg and Olivia began clinical rotations.The beginning of 2023 was filled with skiing and travel. Olivia and Scott spent a lot of time at Lake Oconee throughout the spring and summer. Scott became a master of wake-surfing and taught Olivia how to drive the boat and even sort-of-surf haha! Olivia graduated from UAB with her MSN in acute care pediatrics in August of 2023. Gamedays in Athens were a mainstay of Olivia and Scott’s fall weekends.In November of 2023, Scott and Olivia traveled to Sedona, Arizona for what Olivia thought was a birthday trip that turned out to be so much more. The day of November 17, 2023 was one Olivia and Scott will remember forever. We spent the early morning riding an ATV up to the start of a trail to hike Devil’s Bridge-an expansive sandstone arch amongst the beautiful mountains. Unbeknownst to Olivia, Scott had asked a fellow hiker to capture photos of them out on the bridge. Once on the bridge, Scott got down on one knee and proposed to Olivia. Cue the tears! The rest of the day was filled with trail rides, wineries, and a celebratory dinner in Sedona. The most memorable trip to date.2024 has been filled with wedding planning, trips to Highlands, and many celebrations. We look forward to celebrating our marriage with you all on May 10, 2025!&nbsp;

Shuttles will leave from K.H. Founder's Park at 4:30P.M. There will be three buses to transport everyone to the venue from this pickup location. There will be two buses initially and a third bus that is coming from Skyline Lodge to collect remaining guests.
