Olivia and Steve met in 2009 in high school through a mutual friend. They dated for a few months, but quickly Olivia’s parents decided that Steve was too old for her. She was a freshman and he was a senior. Little did they know, Olivia and Steve still saw each other for a while after that. Just as most high school relationships do, it ended but they still remained in contact.

Every 6 months or so, one of them would reach out to the other and touch base, ask for help, or to meet up. Unfortunately, most of the time they were seeing other people.

Fast forward 10 years… Olivia and Steve start hanging out again with her 3 crazy roommates. Nothing was too serious and they agreed to take it slow. Well, a few months later Covid struck. Steve continued to ask Olivia to hang out, but suddenly she went quiet. He logged into Facebook to see she was dating someone else. It didn’t last long, as she knew he was not the one for her.

August 2020 came around and Olivia realized she was missing Steve. She had her roommate call him and ask him to hang out and tried to blame it on her. Shortly after, they became inseparable. They started dating again and realized that they wanted to be together forever. They moved in together in December 2021 (with Covid for a second time). In July 2022, they adopted a little rascal together, Igor, who put them through a lot.

After almost 3 years of being back together, Steve took Olivia and her family out to lunch and for a walk around Lakefront in Columbia, MD. Steve got down on one knee and asked Olivia to marry him, which of course she replied yes! He took her to Kelsey’s Irish pub to celebrate with their friends and family.
