Auburn, Alabama is a small town and home to Auburn University, Olivia and I’s alma mater. Unlike so many of our friends who found their person during undergrad, Olivia and I managed to just miss each other our entire college experience. Despite mutual friends, similar interests, and frequenting the same Auburn hot spots, the timing never worked out for us to meet and fall in love.

But everything changed October, 2021. I recently moved to Atlanta and reluctantly decided to give a dating app called Hinge a try. I wasn’t on the app long until I came across Olivia’s profile. I was immediately smitten! Her profile seemed to check every box: a beautiful, adventurous woman who loves the Lord and Auburn football! I knew I had to meet this girl! We connected and one long first date led to many more, and, eventually, to me getting down on one knee July 14, 2023 to ask my best friend to marry me!

Looking back at my time dating Olivia, I’m filled with gratitude at the Lord’s perfect timing in our story. Olivia and I weren’t ready to meet at Auburn. However, the Lord preserved us for each other and brought us together at the right time. Now, we look to the future of building our lives together, submitted to the Lord’s perfect will and timing. And in that, we can’t wait to celebrate with you, the people we love most! Let the count down begin to June 8, 2024!!!
