Like all romantic, modern love stories, Deon and Olivia's began eloquently on Snapchat. After hearing from his roommate that Olivia thought Deon was handsome, he made the bold move of commenting on one of her posts. They began talking while away at school and spent their first summer together in Ohio.

Deon visited Olivia at FSU, spending every break from school in Tallahassee so they could be together. Although Olivia was initially skeptical about dating someone so far away during college, Deon made it easy.

Deon proposed to Olivia after a day filled with her favorite things. Olivia noticed that Deon was so nervous throughout the day, but especially at dinner right before the proposal. It turned out he was so distracted because he had left the ring in the car and couldn’t remember if he locked it.
