One Friday night, fate had a plan for us. Chase had just finished coaching a high school football game, and I was out with friends when our paths crossed. That night, we started texting, not knowing just how much our lives were about to change.

At the time, I was searching for an apartment, and when one became available at the old hospital, I jumped at the opportunity. What I didn’t realize was that my new next-door neighbor would be Chase. From that moment on, our story truly began.

In July 2023, we welcomed our greatest blessing, our son Emmett. Then, on Christmas Day, Chase surprised me with a gift box labeled From Emmett to Mommy. Inside was a tiny onesie—continuing a sweet tradition, since Chase had used T-shirts to announce our pregnancy to family and friends. But this time, the surprise was even bigger. As I unfolded the onesie, Chase got down on one knee and proposed.
