Our Wedding

Our story began in a place that shaped both of us—our Sunday school classroom. Olivia was 13, Mavrik was 12, and what started as childhood friendship slowly turned into something so much more. We grew up together, side by side, forming a close bond through church, youth, and adventures with our best friends, Judah and Stori. Over the years, our friendship evolved into a love rooted in shared memories, endless laughter, and an unshakable foundation. One of our first “unofficial” dates happened on Valentine’s Day. Olivia surprised Mavrik after pretending to be unavailable. We ended up at Mancino’s (his first time there), made iced coffee floats at McDonald’s, and capped off the night watching a movie with our younger siblings. It was casual, silly, and somehow just perfect—very us. Together, we’ve made a lot of beautiful memories. From golfing on warm summer evenings to spontaneous road trips and concerts under the stars at Red Rocks in Colorado. We’ve hiked through mountains, cheered for the Bucks in Milwaukee, and bummed around the streets of Minneapolis. And we still laugh about the time one of our first “maybe-we’re-more-than-friends” hangouts was making Christmas cookies with Mavrik’s family. But nothing could top Christmas morning—the day Mavrik proposed. After opening gifts with Olivia’s family, we headed to Thorp for his big family Christmas. His mom had been (lovingly) pushing for family pictures all season, so we met her at a park where she claimed she wanted to take a few snapshots. What Olivia didn’t know was that across the bridge, a surprise was waiting. Mavrik asked to take some pictures by the lake, then said, “Let’s take a few on the bridge.” As we crossed, Olivia saw the setup—pictures from our relationship hanging on the trees, glowing Christmas bulbs, a cozy blanket, two dozen roses, and a sign that read “Marry Me.” Cue the tears. And even though we couldn’t feel our fingers from the cold, we’ll never forget that moment. Our journey started with friendship and has been filled with love, adventure, and deep joy. We can’t wait to start this new chapter together—with all of you by our side.
