Across a crowded room...

Luke and Olivia met at a bar called the Redwood in Seattle. Although the bar no long exists, Luke and Olivia still do!

Against the romantic backdrop of the beautiful city &nbsp;of Seattle, Luke and Olivia fell in love. They developed a close bond of friendship as they discovered their many mutual interests including skiing, cooking, traveling, playing cards, Star Trek, and Tolkien. In 2014, they moved out to Luke's home town in northern Vermont so that Luke could pursue his life long dream of building and running a distillery. Olivia continues to expand her breadth of knowledge and experience as a float nurse at North Country Hospital. With the help of amazingly supportive family and friends new and old, Luke and Olivia are very happy to be celebrating their friendship, love, and commitment to each other.

Our Story

Babysitter

There will be a babysitter at our house which is only a short 2-3&nbsp;minute walk from the wedding reception tent. Hannah Amyot&nbsp;is a very responsible local teen who has cut her chops babysitting loads of kids&nbsp;for multiple years. She will be available at our house&nbsp;from 3:30pm onward.&nbsp;

Parking

Main parking for the wedding will be in a field across the street from the Reception site. Signs will be posted.

Shuttle Schedule

Guests Staying at Jay Peak Resort

Two shuttle buses will be leaving at 3:15pm from Hotel Jay to drop guests off at the ceremony site.

Guests Staying at Jay Village Inn

Please call (802)&nbsp;988-2160 to request a pick up from shuttles headed to the ceremony site from Jay Peak Resort.

Return Shuttles

There will be a return shuttle back&nbsp;to the Jay Village Inn and Jay Peak Resort leaving the reception site&nbsp;at 11:00pm, 11:30pm, and 12:00am.

Jay Peak has some of the BEST skiing in the Northeast. No Joke! Unfortunately the forecast for August 2018 will probably not include 2ft of fresh pow... Fortunately, Jay Peak Resort is also a pretty fun place to visit during the summer. There's a waterpark, a golf course, a tram to the top of mountain, scenic hiking, and loads of other fun stuff! Also, there will be shuttles running from Jay Peak Resort to our place and back for the wedding on Saturday.

Burlington Airport (BTV) is the closest airport to fly into and is located in big city of Burlington. It is about 1.5 hours from Westfield.Trudeau International Airport (YUL) in Montreal is the second closest airport to Westfield at 2 hours away and often has cheaper flights! Passport required of course.Logan Airport in Boston, Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, and Manchester-Boston Airport in New Hampshire are other options for those willing to drive. Unfortunately, public transport is virtually nonexistent in northern Vermont and renting a car for your adventures here is recommended.

Our favorite hikes:

Mount Hor and Mount Pisgah offer striking views of Lake Willoughby.



Mount Wheeler is one of the best, closest hikes with beautiful views of Lake Willoughby and the surrounding mountains. 



Belvidere Mountain is a bit longer at 5.8 miles, but there's a climbable firetower&nbsp;at the summit!



The Pinnacle in Stowe is a steep, short hike with incredible views of the Stowe valley.



Mount Mansfield, the highest peak in VT, is a longer day hike for those up for a challenge!



Owl's Head ski hill just across the boarder in Mansonville, Quebec offers 360 degree scenic views of the Quebec landscape (be sure to check out Owl's Bread Bakery on your way out of town!)

Hiking!

An inland fjord of sorts! Great for swimming, lovely hikes in the surrounding mountains, and there's a nude beach if you fancy a nice tan.

Lake Willoughby

Bring your walking shoes, because this museum is huge! Like the Louvre of Vermont, its impossible to see it all in one day and worth the plane ticket in its own right! The backbone of this museum is&nbsp;the many diverse collections of arts, crafts, and period specific oddities. There are over 150,000 pieces displayed throughout thirty-nine buildings, twenty-five of which were relocated to the sight including a light house, a covered bridge, and a train! Some of our personal favorites include the incredible collection of horse drawn carriages and sleighs, the quilt display, and the Ticonderoga, the last paddlewheel boat to cruise Lake Champlain. Seriously, look this place up!

Shelburne Museum

If you've driven down to see the Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms is worth a visit too! This estate was originally built by the wealthy Webb family at the end of the 19th century. Now its a nonprofit specializing in agricultural and environmental education. They also make some delicious cheddar cheese with milk from the resident herd of grass fed Swiss Brown cows. In addition, the Webbs built some incredible barns on this property! Its worth taking an offical tour or telling the gate man that you're visiting the O Bread Bakery in the Farm Barn and touring the place yourself. Don't miss the Breeding Barn, a huge horse barn and a breathtaking example of Guilded Age architecture.

Shelburne Farms 

Started in the 1960's by political activist and artist, Peter Schumann, Bread and Puppet is puppet theatre at its most radical. Check the website for the show schedule. During the summer, shows usually happen every Friday and Sunday. The museum, located in a big barn on the grounds, contains an indescribable collection of papermache puppets and artwork from past and current productions. This is a must see even if you don't have time to see a performance! The museum is free and open to&nbsp;visitors everyday, just remember to turn off the lights when you leave.

Bread and Puppet Theater and Museum

Located at the southern end of Lake Memphremagog, Newport is the closest big city to Westfield. Stroll along the waterfront, take a dip in the lake, and treat yourself to a very generous scoop at Tim and Dougs Ice Cream shop (located at the Pick and Shover hardware store). Visit Kingdom Brewing (kingdombrewingvt.com) on your way there or back for some very tasty brews!

Newport, VT

Lots of quaint shops and cafes in this picturesque Vermont town including Olivia's favorite chocolate confectionary, Laughing Moon Chocolates. Stowe is also home to the Alchemist Brewery, <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Alchemist+Stowe/@44.4762642,-72.7188258,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cb59f310599cf73:0xbdaa541e28667677!8m2!3d44.4762604!4d-72.7166371" target="_blank" rel="noopener">100 Cottage Club Rd</a>, where you can purchase the beer that some have dubbed best in the world. But go early! They sell out of Heady Topper by mid-afternoon. If you keep driving south on Route 100 towards Waterbury, there are some nice antique shops and the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory which is open for tours.

Stowe, VT

Take a tour and sample some darn good dairy products here!

Cabot Creamery

Known for its sophisticated and imaginative recipes, this brewery has cultivated a trendy reputation with locals and tourists alike. Really good beer here. On your way to or from Hill Farmstead, check out Parker Pie, arguably the best pizza joint in Vermont (161 County Rd, West Glover). The bread and puppet museum is just a short drive from both Hill Farmstead and Parker Pie and should not be missed.

Hill Farmstead Brewery

Visit our picturesque state capital! There's plenty of shops and tasty cafes to fill your afternoon while you keep a sharp eye out for Bernie Sanders!! While you star search, wet your whistle at Three Penny Taproom which has an excellent variety of Vermont beers on tap. Kismet, a consummate farm to table restaurant with an inventive menu, is also a favorite!

Montpelier, VT

Why visit the biggest city in Vermont? Shopping of course!! Church street,&nbsp;located in the heart on the city,&nbsp;is an outdoor shopping mall of sorts. Enjoy lovely views of Lake Champlain and stuff&nbsp;your carry-on bags&nbsp;with&nbsp;all the Vermont type souvenirs and products you could ever want. Hoory!

Burlington, VT

Four Corners swimming hole is pretty popular with the locals. Park in the gravel parking area just past Boutin's Mini Mart on the right side of Route 101 heading north towards North Troy. Walk down the hill to the river and the swimming hole is down river to the right. No life guard on duty and watch out for leaches!
