What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive at least thirty minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.
What is the dress code?
Formal: We invite you to join us in your most sophisticated attire at The War Memorial. Gentlemen, suits with ties are suitable. Ladies, please choose long or short cocktail dresses. We can’t wait to see you in your elegant best!
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place in doors. However, there is an outdoor area for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour and the reception.
Are children invited?
While we adore your little ones, we've opted for an adults-only reception to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?
During cocktail hour, we will be serving tray-passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by an open bar. We invite you to toast to our nuptials with a curated selection of wine, beer, liquor, and signature cocktails.
Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?
Absolutely! All of the information can be found under the travel section of our wedding website.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?
While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.
I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Grosse Pointe?
We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including bars and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.
Do you have a wedding registry?
We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items we need for our new journey. You can find all the information under our registry section on our wedding website.
Where is the ceremony?
The ceremony will be at The Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, in Detroit. There is a gated parking lot for guests, as well.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to allow everyone to fit comfortably in our venue. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
