I guess you could say hockey and a mutual friend brought us together. We knew each other years before we started dating, and every year Sean asked Bryan to get extra tickets to the Dallas Detroit game. It was such a great opportunity to get friends together. Little did we know...

I remember going home with my friend Lena the night after this game saying "What do you think about Bryan, I think he's kinda cute!" And she just kinda laughed. At that time it was such an unrealistic thought and here we are!

Bryan was able to join our family vacation in Seaside, Florida. This was such a special time with family and really allowed him to bond with my parents.

Over our time together we have been able to celebrate friends weddings, birthdays, tiny little ones, and anniversaries.

We went to Vail, Colorado with Sandy and Chris for Thanksgiving. This was such a fun holiday. We were able to go snowmobiling, and snow-tubing. We are really grateful for the time we are able to spend with family.

Exactly one year later, we were sitting in the same seats celebrating with a Dallas Stars win. I didn't even realize it was our anniversary until it popped up on my phone.

Back story. So my (Olivia) friends, Lena and Christi, went to this amazing restaurant in Downtown Dallas. It's called Monarch, and we had the best spicy rigatoni of our life. I told Bryan that it was the best meal I had ever had, and he surprised me with reservations for our first anniversary. The rigatoni was just as good as I remembered.

One year later, he joined my family again in Rosemary Beach, Florida.

My (Bryan) first time out of the country. We visited Isla Mujeres with some friends and I had to get my passport, and long story but we got it and it was a week we will never forget.

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! The most perfect and unexpected thing to happen to us that year and we are so grateful. The house is perfect for us - it is vintage for Olivia with a big shop in the backyard for Bryan and his cars.

We went to Park City, Utah with Bryan's mom and Chris. Even though we didn't get snow, we still had a great time. I was semi-expecting an engagement since we had gone ring shopping but it didn't happen.

ENGAGED! (finally) We went shopping together a few weeks before and found the best boutique jewelry shop. They were so personal in everything they did in helping us customize and create the ring. I (Olivia) had been anticipating the actual moment so much that when it was finally happening, I had no idea what was going on.
