Our Wedding

As most of you already know, we started in high school. Shared classes turned into shared dances. Shared dances to shared glances, and now it’s a shared life and the constant laughter and suffering of each other’s terrible jokes and bizarre hobbies. 

It Started in High School

In December of 2020, still reeling and uncertain from all that was happening, we decided it was time to sign. We had our immediate families and a three close friends (our witnesses and officiant) get together with us and celebrate signing our marriage certificate. We promised to have a “proper” celebration later, with all of our beloved friends and family, but wanted to tie the knot then and there. So we did, and now here we are! On the other side of so much uncertainty, almost five years after that signing ceremony, the promised party!

If you’re coming to town a little early, or staying a little late, it’s always good to have a few fun things to do! Some of these are on the Edgefield campus, others are just nearby, and still others are things we love to do that span the city proper!

•Thousand Acre Park   •Multnomah Falls (or really any of the falls)   •Crown Point/Vista House   •Hood River (we especially like brunch at Broder Ost!)

Portland

•Saturday Market, Downtown Portland  •Walking Hawthorn Boulevard (we are especially fond of Sea Sweets Poke, Cuba Cuban Food, and Tov Coffee)  •Wyrd Leatherworks and Meadery  •Food Carts (we go to the Hawthorn Asylum pod most often)   •Waterfront Park  Wanna skip town? Oregon City and McMinnville are two of our favorite cities within an hours drive to go explore on a day trip.   Wanna go farther? The coast is just a short jaunt away! Astoria has the Astoria Pub and the Astoria Column, both places we thoroughly recommend.
