We are so excited to welcome everyone to our favorite mountain town! Due to Mentone's quaint size, we recommend booking your sleeping accommodations ahead of time. Below are suggested places to stay. Hi everyone! We are looking forward to seeing you in Mentone! Below you can find information for the weekend festivities. Friday, May 10th - Post Toast For anyone already in town on Friday night, there will be a causal, come as you are Post Toast at the pavilion behind the Mentone Inn at 9:00pm. The bridal party will arrive following the Rehearsal Dinner. Feel free to pop by, have a glass of wine, and say hi to the happy couple! Saturday, May 11th - Wedding Ceremony and Reception The ceremony will start at 5:00pm. There will be attendants at Windy Hill to direct you to your parking spot. Dinner, drinks, and dancing at Windy Hill will follow the ceremony. Sunday, May 12th - Breakfast Beginning at 9:00am for those needing caffeine and a nibble before hitting the road, we will have coffee and muffins at "Huckleberry Point" (298 South Cool Street) on the brow.&nbsp;Parking will be limited.&nbsp;&nbsp;It’s a short walk up Cool Street from the Mentone Inn to Huckleberry Point just past the Flynt cabin. Rain Plan While we have been praying for no rain since Joseph proposed on August 5th, we trust May 11th will be beautiful regardless of the weather. In the event we need to activate our "Rainy Day" plan, you will receive a text message on Friday the 10th. In this event, we will have a small family only ceremony in a church atop the Mountain. Everyone is invited to join us at 5:30pm for the tented reception celebration at The Farm At Windy Hill.

Roll Down Your Car Windows and Play "Dixieland Delight" While Driving Up The Mountain

Growing up, whenever our family drove up the mountain, Mayo would roll down the car windows so Sarah and I could stick our heads out the doors to breathe in the mountain air. In 2017, I enhanced this tradition by playing "Dixieland Delight" at full volume. I encourage you to do the same.

Mentone Market

Mentone Market is a must-do stop with homemade food, local gifts, and snacks for your weekend. If spending the night in Mentone, we recommend picking up graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate to make S'mores at your cabin!

For our favorite burger + beer visit Vintage 1889! It is located behind Big Mill Antiques. Stop in Big Mill Antiques after to see if you can find some treasures!

DeSoto Falls + DeSoto State Park

Go explore DeSoto Falls and DeSoto State Park - there is plenty of sight seeing, hiking, swimming, canoeing, and fun to be had!

If you find yourself in Mentone on Friday between 3:00pm and 7:30pm, we highly encourage you to stop by Windy Hill for their "On-Farm Market" Fridays! Get to know the farmers, shop their 100% grass-fed-beef &amp; seasonal produce, stroll through the gardens, and find out why Joseph and I love Windy Hill so much!

The Wildflower Cafe

Enjoy lunch or dinner at a local favorite and find out why it's featured in the book, "The Southern Foodie: 100 Places to Eat in The South Before You Die". It is also where Joseph and I celebrated our engagement over dinner with our families! Lunch is walk-ins only, but a reservation is recommended for dinner.

The Hatter Cafe

Stop by this Alice-in-Wonderland-inspired-cafe for breakfast, lunch, or a spot of tea! The food is phenomenal (I recommend a side of biscuits with butter and jam). This is a great place to go with "little-ones". It is a popular spot on the weekends, so reservations are recommended.

Elevation Bistro

If it's an "elevated farm-to-table dinner" you are looking for, make sure to stop by Elevation Bistro!

Canyon Grill

28 Scenic Hwy, Rising Fawn, GA 30738

A short 30 minute drive from Mentone will lead you to the award-winning Canyon Grill in Rising Fawn, Georgia. BYOB to Canyon Grill and enjoy a delicious steak or seafood dinner. Canyon Grill prides themselves on their fresh seafood bought directly from fishermen who "day boat". All meat is stored under ice (as opposed to refrigerated) to guarantee the best flavor. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. When making a reservation, mind the time-zone change from Central to Eastern!
