Koby and Olivia met in the summer of 2017 at Paul B. Johnson State park while attending a Catholic youth summer retreat called Teen A.C.T.S. Although they didn't know it then, their lives would be completely changed by one another just 5 years later.
As most teenage girls do, Olivia had a huge crush on Koby all throughout high school. Though they attended different schools, their common denominator was Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. OLF brought them together every Sunday for Mass and LifeTeen. They messaged frequently, and became pretty good friends. When Koby graduated high school and moved away to college at Mississippi State University, the couple lost contact.
This did not not stop Olivia's huge crush on Koby. Even though they stopped talking regularly, Olivia could rarely get Koby out of her mind. In the summer of 2022, another Teen A.C.T.S. was going to take place and Olivia was on the retreat team. In a spur-of-the-moment decision, Koby decided he would also help out on the retreat. Koby and Olivia reconnected on this retreat, and spent the nights talking nonstop. Since then, they have never gone a day without talking. They made things Facebook official on July 4th, 2022.
As they are both planners, Koby and Olivia's engagement was not a surprising one. They spent countless hours talking about their future; how many kids they wanted, what they wanted their wedding to look like, and what they wanted out of life. They had always had the spring of 2025 in mind for their wedding. One day, while they were driving, they had the sudden epiphany that the spring of 2025 was only about a year and a half away! Soon after, Koby and Olivia were ring shopping together. Olivia, not being the biggest fan of surprises, was already planning with one of her friends to take their engagement photos at the place they met: Paul B. Johnson State Park. Although they had already been secretly engaged for about a month, the couple made their engagement official in January of 2024.
Koby and Olivia will be tying the knot on April 26th, 2025 at Holy Family Parish in Pass Christian, Mississippi.
