It all started with the perfect match on Hinge.

One morning on the 5th of July, 2022, Haley sat down on her couch after a long shift at work and opened her Hinge dating app to find that Olivia had requested to match with her. A note was attached saying that Olivia could fulfill one of the things that Haley was looking for in a person: “be able to make me laugh”. At first glance of Olivia’s profile, Haley almost didn’t accept the match, but thought she might regret it if she didn’t take a chance with her. Haley went to bed and woke up to a message from Olivia. The rest is history because the two of them started talking and never stopped.

The beginning days were filled with endless phone calls, texts, and FaceTimes leading up to the first date on Sunday July 17, 2022. A few dates after, Olivia officially asked Haley to be her girlfriend outside of the Breslin Center on the campus of Michigan State University on Wednesday July 27, 2022, thus marking their new beginning.

Over the course of the next year, the two continued to be inseparable and grow the greatest friendship and love for each other. Olivia indeed could make Haley laugh. Date nights led to “I love you’s”, promise rings and talks of the future. Their growing bond led to taking bigger steps in their relationship with Haley asking Olivia to move in with her just before the holidays, and they were able to spend their first Christmas together in their new home.

As they entered 2023, they both knew this was going to be a big year for them. The couples family’s and friends were brought together who all showed constant love and support for the couple. Olivia started planning a proposal to Haley and included several of the most important people in the couples lives to be part of the planning process.

On Thursday July 27, 2023, marking their one year anniversary, a drive back to the Breslin Center at MSU, which was once their new beginning, became their happily ever after. Olivia got down on one knee and proposed to Haley with a diamond ring symbolizing a bond that will never be broken and a love lasting longer than a lifetime between them both.

The couple has been showered with even more love and support since that day and are overjoyed with excitement for their wedding day! The couple looks forward to saying “I Do” and celebrating their special day with a big party surrounded by family and friends on Saturday October 11, 2025!
