Tim and Olivia began their story way back in 2016. During their sophomore year of high school, Olivia attended York high school where Tim went to school. They probably passed each other in the hallway not knowing that one day they would be getting married. After Olivia left York High School to go on to finish her high school years at Regina Dominican High School, she kept in touch with the friends she made at York. Who knew that an innocent snapchat of a bearded man from one of Olivia’s friends she kept from York would turn into the beginning of a love story? In early November of 2016, Tim and Olivia met in person, and on December 17, 2016, Tim and Olivia became official after a trip to McDonald’s late that evening.

Since that day, Tim and Olivia went on many adventures together. After Olivia graduated from Regina, and Tim graduated from York, they “coincidentally” chose colleges five minutes apart from each other. With Tim at Illinois State University, and Olivia at Illinois Wesleyan University, they both entered their college years together. It was only typical of Tim and Olivia to do everything together, so it was only fitting that they both left their colleges after one semester to figure out a new plan. Once home, both attended College of DuPage while trying to figure out where they wanted to go for college. Olivia wound up deciding on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, while Tim decided to stay at College of DuPage. The long distance began. Between Tim coming to U of I, and Olivia coming home, they made it work.

When March 2020 hit, schools were closed, so Tim and Olivia got to quarantine together at their parents’ houses, which was super fun! It was during this time that Tim decided he wanted to go to Western Illinois University the following fall. More long distance began. Olivia finally graduated from UIUC in December of 2021, while Tim was still at Western. If you know Olivia, she was never the person to volunteer to drive. With this obstacle of long distance though, Olivia mustered up the courage to begin road tripping by herself just so that she could see Tim more often. That long distance part of their lives came to an end when Tim graduated from Western Illinois University in December of 2022.

With both of them home now, they had to navigate their new schedule. Olivia was working at an elementary school in Glenview as an instructional assistant, while Tim got a job working for a construction company where he was mainly in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. They developed a plan where on the weekdays they would stay at Olivia’s mom’s house in Glenview, and on the weekends they would stay at Tim’s parents’ house in Elmhurst.

On December 17th, 2023, exactly 7 years after their relationship began, Tim got down on one knee at a lake in Olivia’s hometown of Glenview, and asked her to marry him. She had absolutely no idea that it was coming, and it was the best surprise of her life.

Since that day, a lot of wedding planning has been happening, but other amazing things have happened as well. On June 28th, 2024, Tim and Olivia bought their first home. Now they are living there together, no more long distance, no more living out of bags, but instead they get to come home to each other every night.

Tim and Olivia cannot wait for the next chapter of their lives to begin, and they cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with you all on October 4th, 2025.
