A Modern Beginning

Like so many great love stories these days, ours began with a swipe. In December 2023, what started as playful messages on a dating app turned into something much bigger. Neither of us could have guessed that a few exchanged texts would lead us here — planning a wedding surrounded by the people we love most.

The First Date

Our first date was at Fortina in December 2023. In true Dan fashion, with his social and “more the merrier” mindset, he decided to bring a friend along. What could have been an unusual first date turned into a night of laughter, easy conversation, and instant chemistry. By the end of the evening, it was clear to both of us that this was the start of something special.

Building A Life Together

Not long after, Lucy — our French Bulldog gave Dan her stamp of approval, while Madison — our Mini Golden Doodle made sure to give Olivia hers. And lucky for us, because without their blessing, this story might have ended before it truly began.

With our little family complete, we started creating bigger moments together: moving into our first apartment, turning four walls into a home, and filling it with shared routines, memories, and more than a few dog toys. Along the way, there have been countless dinners, adventures, and quiet nights that have shaped a life that feels full, joyful, and uniquely ours.

The Proposal

In May 2025, Dan planned a moment Olivia will never forget. At the Gasparilla Inn in Boca Grande, Florida, he led her to a private, flower-filled garden just as the sun began to fade. There, he got down on one knee.

Olivia was caught off guard and overwhelmed with joy. In the excitement, she nearly forgot to say “yes” and slipped the ring onto the wrong finger — a perfectly imperfect moment that felt exactly like us.

The Next Chapter

Now, we’re counting down the days until July 17, 2026, when we’ll say “I do” surrounded by our friends, family, and of course, Lucy and Madison. Our love story may have started with a swipe, but it has become the kind of classic tale we always dreamed of — two people, two dogs, and one future we can’t wait to begin.
