Matthew and Olivia met on October 31st, 2020 at a Halloween party while attending the University of Texas at Tyler. They became friends instantly, and over the next few months, they would realize just how much they liked each other. Liv found herself at all of Matt’s baseball games during the Spring of 2021.

Shortly after Matt asked Liv to be his girlfriend, he was signed by the Los Angeles Angels Baseball Organization. Matt spent most of the year in Arizona while Liv stayed in Tyler finishing her Nursing degree and starting her new job on the night shift. Although they were thousands of miles apart and working on opposite schedules, their love was unwavering.

On December 9th, 2023, friends and family gathered together on the chilly Saturday afternoon at True Vine Brewing Co. to celebrate Matts college graduation. After what seemed like an eternity for Matthew, he took Liv aside, dropped down on one knee, and asked the question…and you already know the rest!
