Falling In Love πŸ‘©β€β€οΈβ€πŸ’‹β€πŸ‘¨

I Love U...nion StationπŸš‚β™₯οΈπŸ™οΈπŸ’Œβ›ͺπŸ“œ

Ben knew pretty quickly how he felt about Olivia. He said "I love you" about 3 weeks after "I like you." (Exposed) He anxiously waited for her to say those words back. One day, as they rode the escalator leaving Union Station, the setting was perfect. Her hair floated in the wind, the air was warm and the sun was shining down behind her. She turned to Ben and said: "I LOVE U...nion Station this time of year!" A tragic moment for Ben. Until . . .

. . . Olivia was distracted at church, worried about Ben and whether she loved him back. The priest quoted this poem during his homily, bringing Olivia out of her thoughts and back into prayer:

"Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, than falling in Love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination,

will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, whom you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.

Fall in Love, stay in love, and it will decide everything."

Olivia cried right then and there. She had heard this poem before, at her high school retreat to Ecuador (where she decided to attend CUA for college)! The retreat leader hand-painted different quotes for each of the students, and she selected this poem for Olivia. Flash forward two years, Ben had definitely been seizing her imagination, evenings, and weekends. She took this connection as a sign that God's hand was in all of this from the very start, and that Ben was her true love!
