We met how many young people meet these days - Bumble. Brad was catfished by Liv's photo with a puppy that wasn't hers and Liv loved not having to explain 'what does an actuary do'.
After talking for a while our first date was at the Dallas Arboretum. All went well aside from Brad wearing a flannel and our relationship started to blossom. By date three Brad cooked dinner and asked Liv to bring the wine (and wine glasses). Within a few months Brad was asking Liv for fashion advice on what 'Dallas winter' jacket to buy...and had acquired his own wine glasses.
During the peak of COVID Liv asked Brad if he'd drive across the country to spend two weeks in Colorado with her parents (because what could possibly go wrong?). He said yes and as it turns out Brad and Liv's dad grew up five miles apart. This meant talking about the Detroit suburbs and how Brad's street used to be a dirt road was a nice ice breaker.
Over the next few years our relationship continued to flourish. It included a second trip to the Colorado Rockies with a drive back to Texas in the snow with Liv's front wheel drive car we'd love to forget and a trip to Sonoma where Liv confirmed Brad's happiness is worth the golf clubs tagging along.
In March 2023 Brad popped the question (after chickening out the first time we might add) and a surprised Liv (still) hasn't said yes.
