- Ben and Olivia both moved to Fort Worth in summer of 2020 after graduating with Mechanical Engineering degrees- Ben from The Ohio State University and Olivia from The University of Alabama.

- They met in July of that summer through mutual friends at Olivia’s apartment pool and struck up a conversation when Ben noticed Olivia’s ’97 Bulls Championship t-shirt. (Although they cheer on different on college teams, at least they are both Chicago sports fans)

- Ben and Olivia were friends for a year before beginning to date in July of 2021- right in time for Ben to move back to Ohio for the final rotation of his development program.

- They were able to make it through a year of long distance- which included cancelled flights, long nights in the airport from delay after delay, and hours spent on hold with American Airlines customer service. Although traveling to see each other could sometimes be challenging, Ben and Olivia also went on many wonderful trips that year including visits to Tuscaloosa, OSU, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Boston, Nashville, and each of their hometowns: Youngstown and St. Joseph.

- After his rotation ended, Ben moved back to Fort Worth in May of 2022. Since then, the two have enjoyed exploring new cities, trying out restaurants around DFW, and cheering on sports teams in stadiums across the country.

- Ben and Olivia got engaged on September 14th, 2023, and although they still can’t agree on college football (Go Bucks!/Roll Tide!) they can agree that they are excited to spend the rest of their lives together.
