It's no secret that Portland, Oregon has a ton of great restaurants. I definitely recommend trying out a few! Most of the places that my family and I love are either in Portland, or super close so you shouldn't have to travel far. You can look up the top rated restaurants in whatever cuisine you are looking for and I am sure good choices will be easy to find. But I linked an article below that has some of my favorite places on it. For Italian, hit up Grassa, Gumba, or Montelupo for sure, I almost tried to have them cater our wedding lol
I am linking a good list of things to do right in Portland, Oregon, but one of my favorites is hiking up to Pittock Mansion! It is just a historic mansion that you can go view, but the views are beautiful and there is a lot to do in this area of Portland as well. Click the link below to see what other options are right there in the city! The Japanese Gardens are close too and are beautiful to walk through!
You can drive just over the I-5 Bridge to Vancouver, WA if you want to check out my hometown! It is actually growing quite a bit. The waterfront area right on the Columbia River is absolutely popping these days and is super fun to walk along the river on the walking trails. You can also check out the historic Fort Vancouver if you are looking for something a little more historical. Other than that, Downtown Vancouver has got a lot of cute restaurants and fun shops to look at. Click the link below for things to do in Vancouver!
If you are looking for something outdoors and adventurous, going on a hike in the Columbia River Gorge is one of my family's top recommendations! Seriously some of the best scenery around. Click the link below for a list of the top rated hikes!
This is one of my favorite places! Of course it is fun to ski in the winter, but there are actually a ton of fun summer activities to do here in the summer as well! If you are looking for hiking, or fun mountain activities, click the link below for what all you can do at Mt. Hood! Mt. Hood Adventure Park is one of my favorites because you can actually slide down the mountain on little go-carts!
Another outdoor activity that we love is visiting the Oregon Coast. Cannon Beach is one of our favorites for a beach with beautiful scenery that is not too touristy. For a more historical area, there are the Lewis & Clark National and State Historical Parks as well as the Fort Clatsop National Memorial.
