Our Wedding

We met on Tinder in October of 2020, Skylar just so happened to be at a haunted house in NOLA at the time we matched. We hit it off immediately and met in person in November. We were an hour apart so we took turns every other week spending our off days between NOLA and Chackbay. Skylar loved New Orleans and had always dreamed of living here. Our times here we spent all over the city. We stayed in the famous clarinet Holiday Inn in the city and spent lots of time in the French Quarter. We ate lots of good food and made lots of memories. We made it official on Christmas day in 2020 ♥️ In June of 2021 we ended our long distance and got our first ever apartment in the LGD just one block from St Charles Ave. We were in walking distance to amazing restaurants and the best of all Mardi Gras! In June of 2021 we moved into our house in Old Jefferson. Since then we have added 3 fur babies to our crew! In July of 2024 we got engaged for Olivia’s birthday surrounded by family and friends in our absolute favorite place where we made so many memories along the years, the French Quarter.

How we met? 

In July of 2021 we traveled with our bestfriends to Houston, TX for our first ever trip together. We had the best time and had some amazing food. This photo was taken at the Color Museum. Funny story - we even got kicked out of a bar on Olivia’s 21st birthday because he thought our LA IDs were fake. We ended up calling him back and we still until this day have a free bar tab waiting for us as an apology…Maybe it’s time to take a trip back?

To know Olivia is to know her love for Mardi Gras. Skylar had no choice but to love it too, especially living a block off of the route. We would go set up hours before the parades and party until they got there. Until this day we haven’t missed a parade or a good spot/time since MG 2021 ;). Mardi Gras grew to be our favorite time of year together and we love it more and more every year!

If you asked Skylar anything about basketball before 2020 she probably was clueless. Again, she had no choice but to fall in love with New Orleans sports. We started buying tickets to Pels games together and now it has become our most favorite date night. We have a closet full of jerseys and have made lots of memories. Our go to game day snack? Dip N Dots. Don’t ask us about the 2024-25 season… we’re still recovering 

Skylar’s a basketball fan? 

If you know us you know we have a full crew! When we got together Olivia had a dog (Jedi) and Skylar had a cat (Lokie). We adopted the cutest, sweetest little kitten (Opal) when we moved into our apartment in 2021. We later brought home our lab puppy (Bourbon) and a couple months after that we rescued our pointer (Preston) to complete our little family. Our boys have been inseparable since. And while we know how crazy this all sounds we wouldn’t have it any other way!

<p>July 8, 2024<br>Olivia was under the impression Skylar planned a few days for her birthday but little did she know it was going to be a proposal! Skylar booked the cutest little hotel room for Olivia’s birthday weekend. They got dressed for dinner and headed to one of their favorite restaurants in the French Quarter all while their family and friends were setting up and waiting for them. Olivia was completely shocked and despite Skylar being so nervous the entire time (we don’t keep secrets) she pulled it all off perfectly. It was the most perfect day. We knew from the very beginning we wanted to share the rest of our lives together and we can’t wait to share our big day with all of you! </p>
