Olivia's Pick: Escargot and Moules (mussels steamed in white wine and butter).
Chez Fonfon is a casual, bustling bistro in the heart of Five Points South transporting you to Paris, Lyon or Nice. Since opening in 2000, this homage to comforting French fare, including steak frites, sautéed trout with brown butter and escargots, has garnered local and national acclaim. Belle Époque café tables and a 100 year-old etched glass door from Lyon lend authenticity amid cozy, inviting surrounds. Bistro traditions are celebrated every day, along with wines from the Loire, Rhône and Languedoc.
You won't regret your visit. Get a group together and plan a fun lunch or dinner here!
***We recommend making a reservation just in case***
This a great spot to have happy hour before the wedding. Bottega is one of the couples all time favorite Birmingham restaurants. The couple says you have to try the "Orange Thing" and the beef carpaccio.
Bottega Cafe is down the street from St. Mary's on the Highlands , which makes it an easy spot to go before all wedding festivities begin.
Bottega features flavors inspired by the wine bars and trattorias of Italy–from Venice to Palermo. The best apéritifs, wines, beers, cocktails, savory bites and sublime desserts are offered in a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. Italy inspires the cuisine, carefully crafted by linking ingredients from the American South with artisanal producers from the Italian countryside. The formal dining room first welcomed guests in 1988 in the historic Beaux-Arts building. Two years later, the Café opened in the adjoining space, with a menu built around pizzas and dishes cooked in a wood-burning oven.
The cafe does not take reservations.
Vino is Birmingham's hottest intimate dining spot with a great patio, food, drinks, and atmosphere. Enjoy upscale Mediterranean and Italian fare, simple and healthy dishes, an extensive wine collection, and hand crafted cocktails for dinner and Saturday brunch.
Vino is located in English Village inside a functioning art gallery with beautiful art on display. The striking contemporary California architecture of the exterior, combined with cozy, minimal interiors combines the best of modern and comfortable. Vino is divided into 3 unique spaces-the main restaurant dining room, an art gallery, and generous rock patio.
The great thing about Vino is it's in the heart of English Village. This puts you close to both the church and the reception venue.
Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a great place to get out and go for a walk. Birmingham Botanical Gardens is located next to Mountain Brook Village and Lane Park. It's a minute drive from the Country Club of Birmingham. Make sure to check out the Japanese Gardens and walk through the bamboo bridges.

The breads and pastries of Continental Bakery are prepared daily from scratch by artisan bakers who really care about good bread and lean on traditional European methods.
Continental Bakery is like a medieval shop, where handwork and skill come together with attention to detail and natural ingredients to make the most authentic European breads in the southeast.
Fun fact: When Olivia & Franklin started dating, they would wake up early Friday mornings and meet for breakfast at Continental Bakery . This was the half-way point between their offices.
