Our Wedding

Luc and Olivia met during their freshman nursing orientation the first week of school, and they ended up having their very first college class together, ✨Chemistry✨. They spent their first semester as platonic tablemates but struck up a somewhat flirty friendship the following semester, after Luc "slid into Olivia's DMs", congratulating her on finishing her nursing school application.This began a couple of months of texting every day, the occasional voice memo or FaceTime, all the while they enjoyed getting to know each other, and tensions grew. Olivia planned to sit Luc down when they returned from spring break to have a DTR (define the relationship) and bring their feelings for each other out into the open once and for all. Unfortunately, the COVID lockdown hit at the end of their break, so they didn't come back to school (that year).But not even a global pandemic could keep them apart as they continued to grow closer despite being states away, calling and texting each other every day, and being each other's safe space during a difficult time.From then on and throughout college, Luc and Olivia remained very close friends and had their ups and downs of liking each other, one liking the other, or just being platonic friends. Until entering into their final semester of college, where Luc put two and two together and realized he was in love with Olivia. After what seemed like a normal catch-up in March 2023, getting dinner at Chipotle, Luc shared his feelings with Olivia with a measly five minutes left in the car ride home. After about a month and a handful of conversations discussing what a relationship might look like, they decided to start dating!Shortly after that, they both found new houses for post-grad, new jobs, graduated from college, and even went long-distance for three months. When Olivia returned to San Diego, they learned how to navigate life together. After a year and a half, they got engaged on the beach in Del Mar (somewhere they frequented on dates), and now after over two years together continue to learn how to love each other better and better every day!

Although we had been good friends for years, we started dating on April 16, 2023, a few weeks before graduation. You'll see here the first selfie taken (nervously after our first date) followed by increasingly more relaxed photos.

Elena is Olivia's oldest sister. She is the best oldest sister in the world and forever Olivia's built in twin (our faces unlock each others phones!)

Anni and Olivia also met through their sisters in elementary school and have been best friends ever since. Anni and Olivia became obsessed with Dr. Who, Webkinz and curly fries, the foundation to any great friendship.

Juliana and Olivia met during 6th grade running the mile in PE (walking together tbh) and spent the rest of middle and high school as best friends! They supported each other through first kisses and are now getting married in the same month!

Claire is Olivia's cousin! They have shared a bed at every family function since basically birth. Claire is a big cover stealer but Olivia is a sleep talker... whos to say which is worse.

Anna and Olivia met as they were looking for their classes on the first day of college. They have been roommates/pseudo sisters ever since. They are both nurses and come home to swap gnarly stories.

Katrina and Olivia met on a backpacking trip in 2019, then reconnected as roomates as seniors in college. They still live together and have navigated the big scary adult years. Katrina is much more balanced and keeps Olivia alive by feeding her vegetables.

Sara and Olivia met when Olivia was crying after her parents dropped her off at college. She comforted Olivia then, through 4 years of being roomates, and to this day!

Jess and Olivia connected on the college app "Zeemee" before heading to Point Loma. Jess has always been a safe space and strong supporter for Olivia and they roomed together for 3 years of college. Jess was the DD for Olivia's first drunk college party!

Sydney and Olivia met when they got paired on a college tour to Point Loma. They reconnected when Sydney started dating Jess 3 years later. Syd and Olivia experienced the highlight of Olivia's life together, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

Jack and Luc were hallmates freshman year, experiencing college’s ups and downs together. They remained friends as social groups came and went, and now roommates for two years have tackled many life changes together.

Madi is Luc's oldest and favorite (and only) sister. While they certainly had a rough first 19 years, as adults they've become very close, rely on each other, and Madi has secured her spot as the best sister ever!

Cole and Luc met in freshman Macroeconomics and stayed friends and classmates throughout college. Cole orchestrated the post-grad Mt. Henry House, and he, Jack, and Luc proudly call themselves "The Big 3".

Peyton and Luc met in the summer of 2018 when they volunteered at a summer camp together. Their friendship wasn't fully solidified until the three-hour boat ride leaving camp, where she designed his first tattoo! Since then, even states apart, they've stayed great friends!

Shane was Luc's YoungLife leader/mentor in middle school, and when he moved on to high school, Shane remained a mentor and close friend. Luc drove with Shane from Seattle to Denver when he moved, and now they have been friends for over 12.5 years!

Sophia and Luc met through the Worship Arts program in his sophomore year. Their friendship was cemented as techs on a Summer Ministry Team, traveling together for eight weeks. Since then they have stayed friends and are soon-to-be roommates (for a few months leading up to the wedding)!

Austin and Luc met through Sophia (at the time girlfriend, now wife) when they were on SMT together, and pretty quickly became buds. They were briefly roommates, coworkers, soon-to-be roommates again, and forever friends.

Sarah and Luc actually went to middle school together but weren't friends until sophomore year of high school (thank God, Luc was weird). They stayed close friends all through high school and college, and Sarah eventually ended up in San Diego!

Sweet Leon and Luc met when Olivia brought Luc home for the first time in 2023. Leon was Elena's then-boyfriend, now husband, and Luc was very excited not only that there was another male presence in the family, but that he would now have a brother!

Ty and Luc had lots of mutual friends in college and knew each other on a surface level, but ended up as housemates post-grad, and from there with a little help from a pool table in the garage and a cat named Joe they became great friends.

Trevor and Luc met junior year of college and got to know each other through some mutual classes and friends. They have also been roommates and co-step-uncles to the aforementioned beloved cat Joe for the last two years. You'd be wise not to find yourself on the other side of a pool table against this sharpshooter.

Connor and Luc briefly met a few times over the years in college but secured the friendship as roommates in the Mt. Henry House. Connor and Luc got close during the first month in the house as virtually no one else was around, and they ended up running errands and furnishing the whole house together.

If you’d like to stay on-site with us at Lavender &amp; Olive, there are a limited number of spots to park RV’s, four of which have hookups, otherwise you’ll need to make sure to include a generator in your booking. You can use RVshare or Outdoorsy (basically Airbnb for RV’s) to have the RV delivered to L&amp;O. If you’re wanting to stay on site with an RV, you must book it for delivery on Friday, as we don’t want them arriving on Saturday and getting in the way of the festivities :) We also ask that if you choose this option you have a party of three or more staying in the RV to make the most of the space! When you book, be sure to select the delivery option to L&amp;O Friday-Sunday and they will set it up for you. If you have an RV, you are also welcome to bring and set up yourself. This will be first come first serve, please send us a text before you book to make sure there is still space at the venue!

This hotel offers rooms ranging from studios to 2 bed/bath, along with a full kitchen and living room. There is a pool available and many courts to play tennis or pickle ball! It is about 15 minutes from the venue.

Riviera Oaks Resort & Racquet Club

Just down the street from Riviera Oaks Hotel, this offers a similar experience but also has a golf course and restaurant/ bar attached.

San Vicente Golf Resort

This is about a 6 minute drive from the venue and is on Ramona's Main Street. Here, you can book more classic hotel rooms and there is a community pool.

The Safari Park is a unique zoo experience with many walking trails and the opportunity to take a Safari bus to see animals roaming.

Julian is a near by town famous for their apple pie and small town charm! Many compare this town to Stars Hollow of Gilmore Girls. Make sure to check out the book store at the end of Main Street!

San Diego is just 45 minutes away! If you would like to see the ocean, La Jolla is a beautiful cove where you can often see seals and other wildlife.
