For those of you coming in from out of town, we highly recommend you check out an Oklahoma tradition unlike any other, Braum's. With great food, ice cream, and a small grocery store, Braum's truly offers everything you could ever need. Olivia believes you can never go wrong with a classic sundae or chocolate shake, while Josh's favorite is their cookies 'n cream shake. Did we mention that you can order a milkshake as your drink with a combo meal and it is still the same price??
If you have somehow grown tired of Braum's, Tucker's is another great local burger joint in OKC. With a simple menu and easily customizable orders, it is sure to meet everyone's approval.
For anyone craving pizza, Hideaway is the perfect option. Hideaway is another local favorite with lots of unique pizzas or the option to create your own. You can easily order one to-go or enjoy a great atmosphere with a full bar and lots of TVs.
If you are looking for a laid-back dining atmosphere with a unique menu, then The Mule may be the place for you. The Mule offers an interesting take on loaded grilled cheeses among other sandwiches, and also has a full bar.
If your party simply cannot make a decision on where to eat, then The Collective will be sure to cover your bases. This bar and restaurant is actually a collection of restaurants, including tacos, BBQ, Italian, Hawaiian, Indian, wings, and Philly cheesesteaks.
This memorial is a beautiful tribute created in remembrance of the Murrah Federal Building bombing on April 19, 1995, which took the lives of 168 people and left a lasting impact on Oklahoma City.
Bricktown is a historic district located in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. It provides a great opportunity to walk around and explore many local small businesses and restaurants, or you can kick your feet up and ride the water taxi around the canal.
The Myriad Botanical Gardens are located in the heart of downtown. This is a great public space to walk around and enjoy nature while remaining in the city.
Scissortail Park is a relatively new attraction in Oklahoma City. The park extends from the urban downtown to the Oklahoma River on the south side of the city. It has plenty of space to walk around and enjoy nature, along with other activities such as a playground, pickleball courts, futsal courts, and a concert space.
Consistently rated as one of the top 10 zoos in the United States, the OKC Zoo provides a fun experience for all ages. The zoo layout is very well-designed, and the elephant exhibit is especially impressive.
The College Softball World Series will be in full swing during our wedding weekend. If anyone is looking for a quick afternoon activity prior to the wedding festivities or an extra day to recuperate after the wedding, these games always provide a fun atmosphere.
