Our Wedding

Dylan and Olivia met in Rick’s Café in August of 2021. Olivia was out with her friends and Dylan was working security. Olivia walked up to Dylan and asked him for his name. Dylan didn’t give it! Olivia asked Dylan to dance to which he promptly denied her because he was working. Olivia (persistent as she is) gave Dylan her phone number and left the bar. They began dating in January of the next year.

Rebekka and Olivia met on Bumble BFF during the COVID-19 pandemic and grew their friendship in 2020. Rebekka and Olivia took daily long walks around their apartment complex and hung out by the pool every chance they got bonding over true crime, their shared hatred for their jobs at the time, and their sisterly love for each other. They were shocked at how much they have it common at the beginning of their friendship and were inseparable during the quarantine months. Rebekka and Olivia have experienced many monumental moments together including the birth of Rebekka’s son Vincent and Olivia’s relationship with Dylan. Rebekka and Olivia will never stray away from starbucks dates and shopping for things they definitely do not need. Rebekka has the kindest heart and will go out of her way to make sure Olivia feels special. Rebekka even decorated Olivia’s front door for Olivia’s college graduation/birthday because there could be no celebrations due to the pandemic. Rebekka had seen how the relationship between Olivia and Dylan has grown and has been there every step of the way.

Jessica (AKA Jessi) met Olivia in April 2021. Jessi and her husband Izaac Johnson welcomed Olivia into their friend group with open arms. Jessi and Olivia were fast friends and hung out constantly. Jessi’s couch became Olivia’s second bedroom after late night karaoke sessions fueled by champagne. Jessi is soley responsible for Olivia’s love of champagne. Jessi is more than just fun nights out on the town. Jessi is a kind listening heart and helped Olivia through some tough times with a sense of humor and great advice. Jessi is the first to tell someone how it is and wasn’t sure of Dylan at first. Dylan showed Jessi how much he cared for Olivia by planning a 1990’s/early 2000’s themed birthday party for her which Jessi hosted at her house. Jessi saw how much Dylan loved Olivia while he planned that party. Jessi is an essential person to the wedding party as she has followed Olivia and Dylan’s relationship from the beginning.

Ella is a cousin of Olivia’s on her mother Katrina’s side of the family. Ella and Olivia have been close their entire lives and spent much of their childhood at each other’s side. It is only fitting that Ella be at Olivia’s side on her wedding day. Ella was always the smallest cousin having to sit in the middle seat of the back of any car and sleep in the middle of Olivia and their cousin Kennedy. Olivia and Ella have many memories at King’s Island where they stuffed Ella’s shoes so she was able to ride the rides she was too short for. When Dylan proposed to Olivia at King’s Island, Ella was there to witness and share that special life event. Ella has a strong heart and an infectious laugh and Olivia can’t imagine not having her as a bridesmaid!

Kelly and Olivia are distant cousins through their mutual cousin Ella. Kelly and Olivia started their longterm friendship when Olivia recruited Kelly to do her hair and makeup for homecoming, coronation, talent shows, and all four proms Olivia went to. Kelly and Olivia together are always laughing and having the best time. Kelly has helped Olivia out on so many occasions (even buying her alcohol underage shhh!). Kelly was instrumental in helping Dylan plan the proposal for Olivia and was one of the very few people that Dylan told ahead of time. Kelly has always played a role in Olivia’s major milestones and will continue to do so at her wedding.

Starting at Delta State, Dylan and Luke have a friendship that stemmed from aviation. Unsure of the first meeting of the two, their friendship grew when Luke became Dylan’s flight instructor. They are extremely supportive of each other and aside from living across country they stay in touch and keep each other in check!

Bother of the groom, Jase and Dylan grew up mostly beating each other up. Like brothers do, they always make up with each other in the end. Through tough times Jase and Dylan have stuck together and supported each other wether they know it or not.

Like other friends Dylan and James met through aviation, but this one is a bit different. James right out of his stent in the active duty Air Force was looking for a friend, and Dylan swooped right in. Ever since our first semester at Delta State together they  have been extremely supportive of each other and always had a good time.

Newest of Dylan’s friends, there is a special connection between these two. Dylan and Deric met at RAF Mildenhal, and were friends from the point of meeting. They traveled Europe to see the Mach loop, and all of what Cambridge has to offer. The military always makes life long friends and this is a great example.
