The wedding is almost upon us. If your plans have changed, please update your RSVP accordingly. Otherwise, please read on...
TODOs for you:
If you're out of town, please ensure you've booked your hotel. Room blocks expire soon. These are the 5 hotels closest to the venue, others are farther away. If you're traveling to an airport or bus station, you can let us know, but please realize that you may have to take a cab or uber or bus. We'll be quite busy on last-minute items that comes with planning a wedding in less than 3 months (or maybe that's with all weddings). :-) If on the wedding day, you will need transportation to the wedding on Saturday, please let Bunmi or Joe know ASAP. If on the wedding day, you will have car space to help with transportation to the wedding, please let Bunmi or Joe know too. If you're local, please check your route to see if you will pass tolls and/or have $20 cash just in case. If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. :-) Optional events (welcome party, post-wedding breakfast) have been updated on the web site. You will soon receive a calendar invitation to the optional Friday evening welcome party. This is just a chance to mix and mingle with us and others in a casual setting. No invitation will be sent for the Sunday breakfast. If you're the save-to-calendar sort, please use one of the following links to save the wedding event, and set your reminders appropriately to ensure you get there on time. I usually get to events early (save event time as 3 pm) I usually get to events late (save event time as 2 pm)FAQ for the wedding itself:
See you on the 20th or 21st or both. :-)
The wedding is almost upon us - for real this time, it's, like, on Saturday.
This is the last update you'll receive.
- Bride and Groom are unlikely to answer phones on that day. If you need help on that day, it's best to contact someone else.
- We need to vacate the premises by 10 pm. If people want to party after that, there are probably places in Leesburg we could go to.
- There is no assigned seating, just don't sit at the sweetheart table. ;-)
- FYI, the couple gets a copy of every photo taken in the photo booth.
- This is not a salsa party, so no fears if you don't dance the Latin dances.
- Bride is still forcing almost no one to dance, but:
-- we'd appreciate if couples participated in the "Anniversary Dance". No skill required, you could literally just hold your spouse and sway. Still, no pressure. :-)
-- The following line dances will occur: Wobble (you knew that though, right?), Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Macarena, Watch Me NaeNae (by adorable-munchkin request).
See you Saturday (promptly at 3), or sooner. :-)
