Post Wedding - Omar

Thank you!

Picture of Thank you!

We would like to thank you for sharing in our wedding celebration. We are grateful for your presence, warm wishes, and your generous gifts. We look forward to our future together and to making more memories with all of you.

Your presence at our wedding has added so much love to our special day. Your generous gifts and kind words and blessings has brought us joy and will help us build our life together.

Thank you for sharing with us the most important day of our lives. We only hope that you had as much fun at our wedding as we did!

We don’t have our professional photos yet, but we will share with you some of the photos our friends, family and we were able to capture. This trip was more than just a wedding trip. Our two families became one and we strengthened our friendships.

Tequila Tasting

Our journey began in Arandas, Jalisco. Where we got to enjoy our very first Tequila Distillery Tour and Tasting! Tequila Tapatio. Here we saw how the plant was processed from a cactus to the traditional drink. We were able to try the fermentation mix, the natural spring water, raw alcohol (over 100 proof) during the tour and the tequila in the tasting room.

Lucha Libre

The next experience we had was a bit more chaotic! We got to experience Lucha Libre front and center! And boy are we never going to forget that event! There was yelling from the crowds, jumping masked men and women, beach balls and beers flying from every corner of the spectator stands. It was such a unique event that one rarely gets to experience when visiting Mexico. So, I’m grateful my uncle was able to hook it up with those seats! And yes, that's me wearing a mask...I just had to buy one for myself.

A day in the Ranch

After a chaotic day in Guadalajara city and a very short night rest, nothing beats waking up at 5am to watch the sun rise in a quiet ranch and enjoy a nice hot Pajarete with some freshly baked sweet French rolls. A Pajarete for those who don’t know is comprised of Alcohol or tequila (or both) mixed with cocoa mix, sugar, lit on fire, and then the fire is put out with freshly squeezed cow milk. As weird as it sounds, it tastes just like a warmed hot cocoa with your favorite shot of tequila. We all stood around the cows and enjoyed conversations from last nights Lucha Libre match. These are the kinds of memories one never forgets.

A day before the wedding

The anticipation was high and we were feeling nervous. There was only 1 day left before the big day! We headed out into the big city of Guadalajara one last time to take in the views and have some delicious Tortas Ahogadas (or Drowning tortas - Basically hoagies drowned in spicy sauce).

After our trip to Guadalajara, it was all hands on deck! Our family and friends all got together and joined in knocking out all the remaining tasks ahead. I really do appreciate the help of our friends who came to enjoy a nice vacation but were instrumental in ensuring the wedding went according to plan! Thanks Dukes and Raul for helping move that huge freezer!

Wedding Day

I’m not sure where to start. This day was such a blur but one of those blurs where if you see a picture, you can recall that very moment and it makes you appreciate the day even more.

When I woke up on Saturday morning, Jenny was already gone to do her make up and get ready. We all know that its bad luck for the Groom to see the Bride on the wedding date before the wedding.

At 1 pm sharp, a horse and carriage surprised me outside my door to take me to the wedding. Thank you, mom and dad, for that amazing gift! Little did I know, that was only surprise 1.

I arrived at the church and there was already all my friends and family waiting for me. At this point I was already feeling emotional. I proceeded into the church, along with Mariachi music, my groomsmen and my mom and dad alongside me. It was a beautiful moment to say the least.

As I was standing there in the heat, looking up at all the flowery decorations, I heard a large gasp coming from all the guests in the pew. I looked up slowly (it felt like one of those long 30 second scenes of anticipation) and saw Jenny for the first time that day. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen…

Ill leave my story there, because there is a video coming. Ill share pics with you all, of the event, but stay tuned for the video. There was Mariachi, Banda, DJ, Tacos, Churros, Drinks, fireworks, and even a fiery Bull! There so much I can write, but ill rather share those moments through the 3rd party professional videographers.

Thanks again everyone who shared this moment with us.
