Before encountering one another we learned a lot about ourselves. We learned many hard lessons about life that drew us closer to the Lord. All the tough battles we endured brought us to the realization that we must leave things in the hands of God. Finding the right person in this world is no simple task nor is it our main purpose but that our true understanding of love comes from God. Life can be a rollercoaster with lots of ups and downs. Through it all it built a better character in both of us. We followed our paths and never lost the faith that kept us both strong and protected.

Our story begins encountering one another at a young adult bible study. We did not formally speak, but admired each other from afar. We had our first conversation on Cinco de Mayo, when a faith group we both attended decided to go to a baseball game between the Dodgers and Padres. Initially, we were both not going to attend the game, but destiny brought us to ultimately attend the game.

The stage was being set for us to find each other; our encounter didn't occur until on the train ride to the stadium. Dodgers vs. Padres is a major rivalry, so the train ride to the stadium was highly congested. Everyone was packed like sardines. We ultimately had our first actual interaction due to the fact of us being next to each other. Our interaction was short, but it would not be the last one of the afternoon. Once the baseball game ended both our paths crossed in the same place; the train. This time, our conversation was one that left us yearning to learn more about each other. One conversation led to another, ultimately leading to the exchange of information. This information exchange was the catalyst to ignite our interest for each other. It took no time for us to later go out to dinner together. Many dates later we both realized that we had finally found the person we had prayed for. We checked the boxes we had set up for one another, and came to the realization that our bond together was special. God had answered our prayers. We had finally found each other!
