No Business Lodge

You are welcome to spend your day lounging on the beach or playing in the river at No Business Lodge. The lodge has it's own small water front area and is also just down the road from the Smylie Creek bridge where there is a nice beach.


Stand up paddle boards, kayaks or canoes can be rented to spend time on the water.

You could also just buy an inflatable pool unicorn which would make for an enjoyable afternoon.

Huckleberry Festival

No booking necessary for this one. Donnelly, ID hosts it's annual Huckleberry Festival each year and it happens to fall on the weekend of our wedding! Saturday morning you could start your day with the Huck Trot 5k, later that afternoon take the kids to the parade or enjoy the arts and crafts fair. They also have a pancake breakfast and plenty of other vendors to check out.

Tamarack Resort has many options for an eventful day. You can ride the lift to the top and hike down or hike up and take the lift down. You can rent mountain bikes and do the same.


Tamarack offers day trips down the Cabarton, a popular stretch to raft on the Payette River just outside of Donnelly, ID.

This is a great place to enjoy some time on the water. They have 5 water features (man made white water) that you can tube, kayak, raft or paddle board on. Many local kids take classes in the summer to learn how to surf the waves. They also have a volleyball court, walking paths, bocce and horseshoes.


They also offer gear rentals for SUPs and inflatable kayaks.
