There are so many options right around the venue for spending time prior to the event if you show up early or want to do something the day after. The venue is located in the Old Market District, which is jam-packed with a lot of bars, shops, and is even close to the Lunarium (a science center for kids). If you wanted to make it the whole day after, the zoo in town is always a great choice.
