Owen and Sami technically "met" in August of 2017, when Sami transferred to DMC in 6th grade. However, they didn't talk much until 7th grade show choir. Neither of them really paid attention to each other until Sami's mom pointed Owen out, after that moment, Owen had Sami's attention.

After a couple years of being friends, Owen and Sami finally started dating!

Sophomore year was filled with their first of many dances together, football and soccer games, show choir and so much more! Little did they know, their story was just getting started!

Junior year came with so many fun memories, ranging from being Prom Prince and Princess, supporting each other again and again in their sports, and their first Vikings game together!

High School graduation marked the start of a new chapter for Owen and Sami...long distance:( Owen headed up to Bethel and Sami to Iowa State.

After not seeing each other for over a month, Sami headed up to see Owen at Bethel and it was the sweetest time! After having to say goodbye again to Sami that weekend, Owen knew in that moment that he was going to marry her!

Fall of Freshman year was filled with lots of trips back and forth between Ames and Minneapolis!

One of Owen and Sami's favorite places to be is Owen's family cabin in Nisswa, MN! In the summer, they love to disconnect from the world and spend all day out on the water tubing, surfing, and swimming! In the Winter, they love to go on walks through the woods, skate, and attempt to have Sami keep up in family ice hockey games:)

Owen's first vacation with the Websters in Kiawah Island, SC!

After one semester at Iowa State, Sami decided to transfer to Wartburg and start playing soccer again! Sami said that she was so confident in that decision because of the way Owen reacted, he was in complete support and knew that the Lord was calling her to go!

Five years!

YES DAY! The Lord was so good and faithful every step of the way to get them to this moment!

One year out from the best day ever! June 7th, 2026 can't come soon enough!
