Paige and Cody's love story began with a simple recommendation. Cody hopped onto Facebook and a random girls face popped up as someone recommended to follow, with no mutual followers he thought to ignore it. The next week he hopped onto Instagram and what do you know that same girls face popped up again as a recommended to follow, again with no mutual followers. However this time he took it as a sign and decided to hit the follow button. A couple weeks went by after liking/stalking her photos, he finally decided to shoot his shot after seeing one of Paige's stories on Instagram. (Yup he sure did slide into her "DM's") The conversations flowed so smoothly like they have known each other their whole lives.

They agreed to finally meet in person and set up the first date. The day of the date arrived and then passed without ever meeting... Cody got called into an emergency for work, or so he says ;) haha. Paige gave him the benefit of the doubt and set up for the second time the first date. They met in Galena, IL and they first locked eyes in person on Perry street. After that date they both knew it was going to be the last first date they ever had to go on again.

Jump to after 8 months of dating and a whirlwind of a summer traveling around seeing a glimpse of Cody's motocross world, Cody conquering two shoulder injuries and qualifying for Loretta's, taking a trip to Traverse City, flying to London, Paige wanting to train for a half marathon, selling Cody's house in Illinois, and moving to the Madison area together, which then all led to going on a hike.

On a beautiful fall day Cody and his brother, Wes wanted to go for a hike at Governor Dodge State Park. Off we went to enjoy the gorgeous day and almost a mile into the hike Paige was on a mission for a good strenuous hike and was picking up the pace, when Cody grabbed her hand and was insistent on slowing down and showing her the water fall. As they got closer to the waterfall there was a beautiful path paved in rose petals and candles and letters spelling out "Marry Me" Cody wrapped his hands around Paige's and got down on one knee and asked her to tackle all of life's adventures together for the rest of their lives.

Paige, with so much joy and excitement and love said "are you sure...YES!!!" After embracing the immense joy between the two and of course admiring the beautiful ring, Paige noticed her little sister Lizzie and Cousin Josh were hiding in the brush of nature capturing the beautiful moment on camera.

It was the best day of their lives and will only be topped on the day they both stand up at the alter and say I do!

Fun Fact the number 19 has a significance to the two love birds. The 19th of February marks the anniversary of them dating, the 19th of November marks the day they knew they were going to spend the rest of their lives together, and the 19th of July will mark the day they make the promise to each other of becoming partners through life forever.
