When should I RSVP by and how shall I do that?
Once invitations are sent out, guests will be instructed to RSVP via this wedding website. Guests can RSVP on behalf of their family unit or for your significant other. We ask that guests RSVP by May 1st. Yet, the earlier, the better. If we have not heard from you by May 15 at the latest we will go ahead and mark you down as a "no". We are excited to celebrate with you all!
What does “formal” dress code mean for this wedding?
Since it is a summer wedding, we encourage bright and summery colors for ladies yet ask, in accordance with the formal dress code, that all dresses are floor, shin, or ankle length and are as dressy as possible. The formal dress code means that we desire guests to be dressed as nicely as possible without being in black-tie dress. Ladies should also be informed that the ceremony will be on grass so block heels are suggested! For men, we ask that all men wear a suit and tie and elevated dress shoes and accessories. Think one step below black tie!! If you are still unclear, here is a helpful resource https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire
Can I bring a guest?
Due to a strict venue related maximum number we kindly request that you abide by what the invitation you will receive says. If you may bring a “plus one” it will be clearly indicated on the invitation!
When should I arrive?
Guests are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony starts to enjoy the music, the scenery, and light refreshments. That means guests would need to arrive at 4:30 pm.
Is there accessible parking at the venue?
Yes! There will be parking at the Country Club that will be clearly indicated when guests arrive at the event. For guests attending the Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party, you may park in the main parking lot of Boars Head and follow the signs to the main entrance. From there, staff members will direct you accordingly.
Will there be a gift table in person at the venue?
There will be a welcome table but we request that physical gifts are purchased online and sent to the address connected to the registry.
Is there a block of rooms?
Yes! For Sunday night only there are 10 rooms at Farmington Country Club and for Saturday and Sunday there is a block of rooms at Boar's Head Inn. As you make reservations indicate that you are a part of the Bateman-Gilbert Wedding. Under the Travel section of this website, the “Website” link beneath Boarshead’s is attached to the room block!
Do I have to attend the Rehearsal dinner to attend the Welcome Party?
No! All guests are invited to the welcome party if they will be in town on Saturday night. All guests have received an invitation to the welcome party in with their wedding invitation. We hope to see you there!
Can I bring my kids?
Unfortunately, no. We love all of our little people but due to the nature of this event, we ask that kids are left at home unless specifics have been discussed with the bride and groom. We encourage guests to take this night as a fun date night!
