Our Wedding

Paige and Charlie met through an online dating app called Bumble. On this particular app, women have to message the man first. What piqued Paige's interest and sparked this very first connection? A shared interest in her favorite artist Mac Miller. From that first message about his amazing Tiny Desk Concert, they quickly met up at one of Charlie's favorite Denver haunts. On their second date the couple went to the Santa Fe First Friday Art Walk, where a dozen of Paige's friends crashed the party, leading to a wild night and a 3am Ihop trip. COVID-19 lockdown started the day after their third date. Paige went home to see family, and Charlie used this golden opportunity to learn more about the party crashers. Over the next two months, he became a core member of her friend group. By the time Paige returned, Charlie was part of the crew. He soon started introducing his own friends into the group as well. Once reunited in Denver, the couple were together constantly on camping trips, climbing, or spending time with all their new friends. Our Story

Only a month or so into officially dating, Paige and Charlie decided to use her week off of school to go on a road trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. They took his grandpas old truck that was set up with a bed in the back and took off! The only problem was Charlie had never driven stick before and the road to New Mexico is through the mountains. After some tense silence for the first hour or 2, Charlie got the hang of it and they discovered that they loved road tripping together. They tried to camp on the side of a mountain road only to come face to face with a mama bear and cubs- which led them to booking a nice safe Teepee for the night! They return to Santa Fe often now, especially for their favorite hot springs resort that’s designed after Japan. It’s where they’re taking their mini-moon right after the wedding!

Only 7 months into knowing each other, distance separated them again. Charlie temporarily moved to Birmingham Alabama to be part of a business accelerator program. It was there, lying in the grass and looking at the stars, that the couple first said "I love you" to each other.Their love started in a park, and it sparked a tradition of visiting botanical gardens when traveling. This photo was taken at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, less than 24 hours after that first "I love you".

With Charlie having “adopted” Paige’s cat Salem, they added another son to the family- Toulouse! Charlie wanted a German Pinscher and Paige wanted a Husky, so naturally they adopted a Husky! Named after Paige’s grandma's birthplace in France and Mac Millers dog, Toulouse soon became known as Louie and joined them on all of their hiking, climbing, and camping trips!

They always say you should travel internationally together to see if your marriage will last. Well Charlie and Paige realized it’s one of their favorite things to do together!After realizing that Charlie can never again be in charge of choosing hotels and Paige needs to learn Spanish, they had a phenomenal week in Sayulita, Mexico! A place they are now returning to this Christmas with Charlie's family!

To test Charlie’s patience, Paige requested that he teach her how to ski. After only one season, they became obsessed and added it to the constantly growing list of things they loved to do together. Now they swap out hiking and camping for skiing in the winter. But don’t worry, they’ve got a plan for being able to camp and ski next winter! Their honeymoon will be spent skiing in Japan, as well as enjoying the hot springs and amazing food there!

With a newfound love of travel, they took their second solo trip to Hawaii! They spent time hiking, reading, discovering a love of surfing, and taking their first helicopter ride! This started a tradition of traveling every other Christmas!

The adventures continue!

Early on in their relationship, Paige mentioned that it was her childhood dream to get engaged in front of the Eiffel Tower but she really didn’t want a huge crowd around. And well, the Eiffel Tower goes hand in hand with large crowds. So Charlie planned the perfect proposal on a private boat in front of the twinkling Eiffel Tower.For the next 2 weeks, they giddily rewatched the video of their engagement while exploring France and a bit of Spain. Naturally they also stopped by Toulouse to pay homage to her grandma and their dog!Paris now holds an extremely special place in both of their hearts and they constantly talk of returning on a one way ticket.

Our welcome dinner will be Friday in Downtown Denver! Chez Maggy is a lovely French restaurant with everything from burgers to steak. We will be reserving a private room here! Please arrive at 6:30pm

We will be having a rehearsal brunch! We have a reservation for 10:30am on Saturday Feel free to walk around and explore Idaho Springs afterwards! Or we will head to the Argo Cable Car to take a gondola up the mountain!

We are HUGE hot springs fanatics! Join us at Indian Hot Springs for some naturally healing hot tubs!We will be relaxing here on Saturday before the big day!Time: 3-6:30pm "Afternoon Pool" reservationPrice: $35 Be warned: Natural hot springs in Colorado are often sulfur springs. This means they can like sulfur (AKA eggs) but that sulfur is great for aches and pains in your joints! You just might want to shower afterwards
