Josh and I talked for a little over a month before we met. Then he found out it was my Birthday and I didn’t have plans on the day of. He told me he was taking me out; we had to celebrate cause my birthday is special. I didn’t make a big deal of it at the time but it meant the world to me. It was last minute at a little Irish pub during the playoffs of the Avs nothing fancy but it was the thought that counted. Our first date ended with my favorite Ice cream Addiction of Cold Stone. We’ve been pretty much inseparable since that date schedules pending of course.
Josh’s Side of the Love story:
If you know Josh you know that he would just say he is a G. So making him write this is like pulling teeth..... this is his side of the story short and sweet and to the point just like he likes it.
We started talking and I asked her out on her birthday and were like two peas in a pod ever since.
Paige’s side of the love story
Things just clicked between us since the beginning. The stuggle was real though. He is an early morning person due to work and I worked a lot. It was incredibly sweet though because he made time to see me and to see where this went. During one of our early dates we went ice skating; Josh of course had to show of his skills on the ice, which landed him on his butt and me laughing. Of course after that date I broke my foot at work; no surprise there if you know me. He immediately was my knight in shining armor. He helped me get around, put pillows under my foot, and even took me to my favorite Disney movie. This is just a little snippet of the man I fell in love with. I fell for the loud, rambunctious; sports loving guy whom has rolled with all the punches since we meet. He is a man whom knows how to calm my storm and listen to my ongoing rants. I knew this was the man for me early on. He keeps me out of my shell and I believe I smooth his rough edges. Josh surprises me everyday with knowing exactly what to say to calm my nerves. He is supportive, loving and kind. The kind of support I receive from him is the kind I had only seen through the love of my parents which is why I knew then this was the man I’d spend my life with. He is someone whom has unconditional love for the most important people in his life. Our story continued to grow as we got ready for our little Caden. Josh then asked my parents for my hand, somehow everyone kept that secret. Our story continued and our love grew stronger with our added bundle of joy Caden. We are so pleased to be adding to the journey with marriage, joining our two families and many more stories to come.
The Secret Ring, and perfect engagement!
While out Christmas shopping together Josh had me pick out the rings I liked; But acted like it was for later down the line I figured a year or something. Little did I know he bought it that day while I was in another store. He had it all planned for our trip to Breckenridge with family over new years. Of course me being me; I had to have all the bad things happen same day. Once again Josh knew what to say to calm me down convince me to still go enjoy the trip with the family. When I finally made it up to breck, my parents were already in town for drinks, so I picked up Josh at the condo and we headed to town to meet them. I got turned around, took a wrong turn and got stuck ruined the side of my car. At this point I was an absolute mess total meltdown mode. I was overwhelmed, tired and just over everything. When We finally got parked outside the restaurant and Josh came around to my side of the car. Got down on one knee and proposed. It was nothing like he had planned originally because he needed to be my knight in shining armor save me from the worse day ever! He knew how to rescue the evening; it was with telling me “through the good, bad and ugly he was going to be here for me.” So one of my worse days turned into the BEST!
