The start of it all! As many of you know, we met on a mission trip to Japan. This is the first photo we have together. :)

Paige POV: About a week later, Jacob started hanging around me a lot more. He claims that he was just getting to know everyone, but was he really? I was starting to really like him as a friend. He was fun, personable, and always made me laugh. Jacob POV: Around this time I was really enjoying getting to know everyone but one person stood out to me. That of course was Paige. I was slowly growing more and more fond of her company and was starting to seek her out.

Paige POV: It's at this point that Jake was beginning to appear in every photo with me. I was still utterly clueless. He really kept it on the downlow! Jacob POV: By this time I was really enjoying being with Paige. I didn't want to make anything weird so I was careful not to make a big deal about being together. But f there was an opportunity for us to be together and it wouldn't get in the way, you bet I took it.

Paige POV: This was such a fun day! Our friends in the picture took us to a quaint little spot in Tokyo that had giant beds as furniture. I remembering Jacob offering to share deserts with me so I could experience more than one! It was so sweet and I really started to notice how Jacob was so kind and thoughtful. Jacob POV: By this time we had developed a real friendship and I started to feel comfortable around her. I still didn't want to make anything weird so I totally shut down any feelings I had and continued to build our friendship.

Our first official date! Paige POV: Jake had asked me out the moment we got back from Japan. I hadn't even left our leaders house before he asked! I said yes and we went to hang out and then had our first official date a week later. Honestly, y'all, I was crushing on him pretty hard by the end of the first date! Jake POV: I knew I didn't want to waste any time, I knew she would be going back to Stillwater at the end of the summer and if I wanted to make something happen I had to act fast. So right when we got back I asked if she wanted to get lunch and then two weeks later we had our first official date!

Paige POV: The first time I met some of his family and this night was a blast! I was getting to know Jacob better and loved getting to see how he honored his family and loved them so well! Jacob POV: Things were going great! Long distance was tough but we were enjoying our visits and I loved getting to know her. It was at this point that things started getting serious and I was starting to plan a proposal.

Paige POV: Prior to this trip, Jacob and I had talked about marriage proposal so I knew a proposal was coming soon. Still, Jacob did a great job of hiding all the details from me and planned a fantastic trip for the ages! Jacob POV: I planned a trip down to Galveston where we had such a good time. I knew I was going to propose on the final day and I was so nervous. I was so anxious she would see the ring and the surprise would be ruined. We had a wonderful time.

Jacob POV: I proposed and the plan went amazing! I was so excited to finally be engaged to this wonderful woman and I was so happy that the whole trip went so well! I took her to the beach at sunset, had a photographer hiding nearby, and it was just the best! Paige POV: I said yes! It was most romantic, thoughtful, funny engagement ever! There is no way to put how I felt into words, but overjoyed is close! I am so thrilled to spend the rest of my life with this wonderful and kind man!
