We met in high school, both from small towns.

Ironically, Colby grew up in a town named Page.

Our story is quite romantic. An old friend of mine found him on Facebook (totally not stalking) and we ended up eventually dating. We were a long-distance couple for about 5 1/2 years. Colby went to Valley City State University, and I went to the University of North Dakota. That was about a 2 hour drive every time we wanted to see each other. Luckily, my hometown AND his are in between on that ever so exciting drive.

We both graduated college in December of 2023. Since then, we moved into an apartment and finally weren't long distance anymore! We got our sweet little puppy, Spruce, in the Summer of 2024. He is a red longhaired mini dachshund, and he is our spunky, stubborn troublemaker. Spruce got along with my cat, Stuart, surprisingly well. I was worried Stuart would be territorial, but he really stepped up to the Big Brother plate. They love to chase each other and wrestle. We love our little fur babies and they are the biggest blessing in our life right now.

Colby and I both started jobs that have kept us pretty stable and have provided us with great opportunities. Colby started working at Scheels, first as a merchandiser, and now as a salesman. I started working as a social worker for Child Protection.

OH!! The proposal! It was the perfect moment, and I owe it all to my amazing fiancé, and our two amazing friends who were on the trip with us. We made a trip to Glacier National Park, a destination we have had on the bucket list for a long time. It was genuinely the most beautiful and peaceful place I've ever been, and it makes it even better that I got to spend it with some of my favorite people ever. Our friends, Aubrey and Noah, captured the proposal on their phone and a professional camera. I owe it all to them for capturing the most picture-perfect moment.

Currently, we are keeping ourselves busy with work, Spruce/Stuart, hobbies, spending time with our friends and family, and of course wedding planning.
