Adrian and I met through work at RIG Roofing where I had started in January 2023 a little over two weeks before Adrian. We had only met once and my first thought was he has to be in his 30s, we had passing conversation here and there when he would come in the office but I never thought of him romantically because he was way older than me. I worked with his aunt in the office and she would occasionally ask me what I thought about Adrian and thats when she told me that Adrian is actually a year older than me, lol, my whole perspective shifted ... a little. His uncle, Frankie, worked in the operations field while his aunt, Destiny, and I both worked in the office, the day before valentines I had jokingly stated something along the lines of where any valentines gifts could be delivered but little did I know the plan Destiny and Frankie had up their sleeve for me. I came in the next day, February 14th to white roses in the crew boxes with a note that read Will you be my valentine signed by AV (Adrian Villarreal)! I still have his note and the photo of the flowers that Frankie took that morning. As sweet as that may sound, I thought it was a prank for the girls so I didnt bother grabbing them or even looking for a note, I actually walked in our back door telling the girls that they were sooo funny for doing that to me. A coworker of mine asked if I checked for a note or a card and I of course told her no, it was just a joke and she went outside and looked again for me. Sure enough, was that note, this was a little embarrassing because nothing like this ever happens to me and here I am and its happening at my job at 8:30 in the morning. He did ask me if I wanted to go to dinner that night but I didnt really want to meet anyone new in that sense, I wasnt looking for a boyfriend and I really didnt even want one, so I did not go to dinner with him. I went to church for mid week service as normal but I would just be there early since I was already in Auburndale, and I started to notice an RIG truck in the parking lot week after week. I could never find any familiar faces in the adult service and I never ran into anyone from work that I knew until the youth group had the announcement of a new pastor over the youth ministry. I was asked to join two elderly women (who I had grown a tight relationship with through small groups) for the announcement of Pastor Johnny! The same night is when I seen Adrian serving in the youth ministry of the same church I've been going to for 3 years. We ended up serving the youth together and still do to this day, and now we're here... getting MARRIED!
