Beaver Island can be reached via plane or ferry from Charlevoix, MI. The flight is 20-25 minutes. The ferry is about 2 and half hours. On the island there are hotels, rental homes, and camping options available. Lodging in the summer books fast so we recommend booking as soon as possible to guarantee availability. Rental Homes
There are several house rental options on the island. If you are looking to rent a home on the island for the week or weekend please contact Sheri Richards at (231) 675-6717. The website linked will also give you a list of all the rentals available on Beaver Island as well as contact information for each one. We recommend staying in the Harbor Area or on the West Side, specifically Donegal Bay, which is where the wedding and reception will be located.

St. James Township Campground
If you are interested in camping we recommend St. James Township Campground. This is near Donegal Bay, which is where the wedding and reception will be located. There are eighteen campsites in the park. All sites are rustic/primitive in nature. There are pit toilets, a porta potty building and hand pumps. Transportation
Beaver Island Boat Co
The ferry drops off at the harbor on Beaver Island, which is right in town. Most hotels are within walking distance from the dock. We recommend bringing a cooler filled with drinks and food and a deck of cards for the full ferry experience. We typically make bloody marys and play euchre on the way over if we take the boat.
Vehicles can be brought over on the ferry. If you wish to bring a vehicle there is limited space so reservations are required. Reservations must be made early in the year and can be reserved by calling The Beaver Island Boat Co.
Island Airways
Flights can be booked by calling the number below. Island Airways will give you available times and your flight can be reserved over the phone. Parking is available at the airport. 25 pounds of luggage is included with your ticket. It's a quick and easy flight with beautiful views of the island as you approach. We usually travel by plane because it gets us to the island quicker with more time to enjoy festivities!
Vehicle Rentals
Cars, bikes, ebikes, and scooters can be rented on the island. If you plan to stay in town renting a car is not necessary. The market, restaurants, public beach, stores, and brewery are within walking distance of the lodging options. We will provide transportation to and from the wedding and reception. If you wish to explore the island deeper or lodge further from town we recommend renting a car. Similar to lodging, vehicles must be rented far in advance. Please find the list of options below.
